Dr. James Edwards, MD

I showed up 15 minutes early. Filled out my paperwork and waited for almost an hour while people who came in after me were called. When I was finally called the tech said she did not know I was there for an exam for a new prescription for my glasses. This is after waiting for an hour. The woman at the desk (she was very nice) said nobody wrote that down that i was there for glasses for my appointment. Well when a person walks in before giving them pages of paperwork you can ask a simple question ( Nice to see you and why are you here today?). That would have solved that problem. Then after waiting for almost an hour they tell me there is only 1 room to check for glasses and there are 2 people already in there to be seen. They obviously DO NOT CARE! I left!

I have been seeing this doctor since 1991. First off I want all the negative people to realize when you go for an eye dilation it doesn't happen immediately. You have to wait for the medication to work so it's not going to be an immediate service visit. Expect some delay, it doesn't matter what doctor you go to that's going to happen. If you think the wait here is bad don't ever go to svs! Because I went there one time and it took 2 hours to get an eye exam with only three people there. Secondly you can't expect to get a refraction without telling the office you want a refraction. Doctor Edwards is fantastic. When I see these negative reviews, they're all from karen's!

Only giving one star because I can't give any lower. Worst experience at an eye doctor ever. Had to wait over an hour past my daughter's scheduled time for her appointment. The doctor was beyond rude. There used to be 2 doctors. The other one was super nice. He would explain what was going on and was quicker. Today, the technician did her initial exam and said the doctor would be in. Doctor comes in, doesn't say anything to either of us, grabs eye drops and tells my daughter, "Open up" puts the drops in and tells us "go in the waiting room until the drops kick in." No warning about what he was going to do, no explanation of why he was putting them in, nothing. Waited another 30 minutes. He calls her back. Looks at her eyes. Then says "Here, come back in a year" as he hands her a script and walks out. 3 sentences he spoke to us. Nothing else. Then the eye glass place couldn't read his handwriting on the script, that took another 30 minutes on hold. They couldn't find her chart. How can you misplace her chart when we went straight to the glasses place RIGHT AFTER we left? Never going here again.

Our family has been going to Dr. Edwards for 35 plus years. Every generation has seen him. I now have my own kids with him and he is the best. It will be a sad day when he retires. It will be a huge loss to the medical community. Another Opthamologist almost caused my daughter to have permanent poor vision by mis-diagnosisng her. Dr. Edwards caught it and worked with her for 3 years now. She now has 20/20 with her glasses. I will never go anywhere else. I love the office staff. Everything about his practice is top notch. I love that he actually knows his patients and listens to you and your concerns. I highly recommend him!!!! I've been in health care myself for 25 years, and with the changing times, you want a doctor like Dr. Edwards. There are not enough of them out there anymore.

1st time patient, before I was even seen the front office tried telling me my yearly eye exam was going to be 80$ I said not possible I called my ins co prior and know what I should be paying she then said oh your right its only 10$ big diff. After waiting 40 min, the lady takes me in back and says ok were doing a eye exam I said yes I need new script for my glasses and contacts. She said the Dr who does the contact exam isn't here today. I said what do you mean?? Did he call off ?? She said no he's just not here on tues.... So why did this place schedule me on this day not to mention I took off work. The Dr comes in NEVER apologized but said well you can either do the eye glass exam and come back or just reschedule it all. So RUDE. Needless to say I asked for my all my paperwork back and left

ihad lazy eye since I was 5 years. Before I was 50 I was wearing bifocals. When I get into Dr Edwards he couldn't give me a stronger prescription because I was wearing coke bottle glasses. He was a God sent. I called CareSource to refer me to doctor. They sent me to him. This man told me that I could be seeing without glasses. Somehow he took my lenses out of my eyes.put in new ones.ive been without glasses for 5 years now. Everyday I thank God I found this. As far as I'm concerned he's a genius. I thank God that I found him.

Wonderful physician. Dr. Edwards takes time to listen to your concerns. Dr. Is very thorough and a very kind person. His staff is friendly, courteous and efficient. I highly recommend Dr. Edwards.

The only reason I give this place one star is because you cannot go lower. The receptionist is by far the worst I have ever met! She couldn't be more incompetent or rude. I would suggest she looks for a job where she doesn't deal with people, but I highly doubt anyone else will hire her. I will not be coming back and I'm definitely advising everyone I know to stay away from this office
