Dr. Y V. Shin, MD

I first was treated as an emergency patient for cellulitis years ago. Since then Dr Shin has treated me for two cataracts and now is seeing me on a regular basis for glaucoma. He and his staff are always efficient, friendly, and attentive to my every need. I always recommend Dr Shin to anyone looking for an eye professional.

Dr. Shin has been our family ophthalmologist for 30 years. Myself, my parents, grandmother. If he's still practicing when my kids need glasses, they'll be going to see him. He's kind, caring and truly cares for his patients and their families. His office staff is also wonderful and treats you like you're family. We love Dr. Shin and the entire office!

Dr. Shin is the best ophthalmologist I could ever ask for. He has taken care of three generations of my family over the years. He has done successful cataract surgeries. His intelligence is remarkable. I have complete confidence in him. It has always been a pleasure to visit him. His staff is also pleasant, respectful, and competent.

Dr. Shin is a very caring, competent, positive thinking person that just happens to be a doctor! The office staff is amazing as well. I had my cataracts removed at hillcrest hospital and each time I was there, one can tell the staff loves working with Dr. Shin! He is a ray of sunshine!

I went to Dr. Shin seeking a second opinion. I had cataracts in each eye and had serious dry eye issues. My first doctor prescribed a treatment for the dry eye issues that not only did not help but made them worse. He had indicated that my cataracts were not serious enough to warrant surgery. Dr. Shin disagreed. Dr. Shin performed the cataract surgery on each eye and prescribed a treatment for the dry eye issues that in four months eliminated the problem. I now have perfect vision with no dry eye problems. I will always be grateful to Dr. Shin for saving my sight.

Great doctor --Very professional and really cares about your eye health! Staff is very nice and very caring! Dr. Shin has a memory of an elephant in a good way ---remembers family members that were related to you and that have also been a patient with him in the past!! A very genuine person!
