Finding this practice was a Godsend! Beth at reception was a very friendly very efficient first contact both on the phone and in person! Caitlyn was kind and courteous with her testing and instruction. Dr. Calin was kind and thorough, taking the time to explain everything. I see Dr. Pete and have always had very caring service from him. He checks me for glaucoma and diabetic issues, as well giving me a complete exam. A few years back, when I experienced "floaters" in my eye suddenly, they took me in on a Sunday to check and make sure I wasn't experiencing a retinal tear. I've been going to Northwest Optometry for many years and would recommend them highly to anyone looking for thorough, top-notch eye care delivered by a friendly and very competent staff.

I have been going here for many years now and can highly recommend Northwest Optometry. Dr. Joe is my doctor. He is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He takes his time with you and is happy to answer any questions. I came to him originally because he was recommended by someone who was able to get contacts for their son who had a difficult situation. No one else had been willing to work with him except Dr.Joe. I also have a difficult situation and he has patiently worked with me, trying numerous times until we got it right. I completely trust his advise and the care he has given me all these years. The office staff is friendly and efficient. I feel lucky to have such a fine practice in our area.

I recommend that you use another eye doctor. I was searching for an eye doctor and thought I would try them since they were in town. My glasses were never right even though they redid them two or three times. I ended up using Costco who gave me glasses I could see out of. I wanted to return the glasses, get a refund and possibly try again next year. They did give me a refund, but the doctor and the others in the office became sort of hostile and did not treat me kindly after that and said I was no longer welcome. My family will be going elsewhere for our services in the future. You are not treated well if you disagree with the doctor. Go somewhere else for your eyes.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Pete for many years and can, without any hesitation, recommend Northwest Optometry for all your visual needs. The high-skilled staff and the doctors communicate as a vital team to assist patients with, not only their eye examination, but recommendations about health as well as maintenance options allowing each patient to partner with their doctor to promote eye care. But the other part of their excellent service is the fitting of recommended glasses. Don't be tempted to go to a chain eyeglass store to save money, because you won't. The exceptional care the staff provides for your examination continues in the fitting of the proper and superior lenses; and staff is always available for adjustments or fixes throughout the life of the glasses.

My daughter saw Dr. James. No doubt he's a very good eye doctor and her exam was very extensive. But she has adhd and autism and I had to listen to the doctor trying to educate me on her adhd and autism. We came for an eye exam and glasses, she already has a developmental pediatrician and services for her medical diagnosis. The office staff did not greet us with a hello or smile like their other customers. Some of the looks and questions asked almost felt like we were back in the 1940's.

Dr. Pete is thorough, professional and an excellent doctor. The staff is very competent, professional, and friendly. Surroundings are clean and efficient. We have been patients there for years and have recommended many others to this office. If you are looking for an eye doctor in the Englewood / Clayton / northern Montgomery County area, this is the place for you.

As a diabetic I want an optometrist who can understand my issues and address them before I have a problem. I found that at Northwest Optometry. I always get a great exam and have all my questions answered. The staff is polite, friendly, and respectful of my time and needs.
