I went to OPI for a routine annual eye exam and spent 2 1/2 hours waiting in a variety of rooms. No updates on what was happening was provided - I thought they had forgotten about me. The front desk said they had a shortage of techs, the MD said there were "emergencies." They should get their stories straight. I felt like my time had no value - seems like they schedule too many patients in a day.

I'm a new patient who had cataract surgery scheduled with Dr. Riffle for a Monday date. About a week before then, I developed what seemed to be an infection in the affected eye, possibly compromising the surgery. After messaging the office Wednesday night, Mary called early Thursday to provide me an appointment later in the day. Dr. Riffle diagnosed the infection and ordered an Rx. Then the staff worked as a team to re-schedule the procedure for the next month. All this took less than 90 minutes, great service for a worked-in appointment. Also, the OPI web portal is very easy to use and provides visit summaries. I highly recommend this ophthalmology practice!

Dr Carrie Happ-Smith recently performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes. Surgery was done at the Surgical Care Center in Mentor. Upon arrival, the surgical care team walked me through the entire procedure. The nurses were efficient, and kind. I felt confident with their handling. Dr Happ spoke to me before surgery and asked if I had any questions. The surgery room was impeccable. Recovery was quick and there were always nurses looking out for you. A huge thanks to Dr Happ-Smith and her staff. All of you made this procedure a breeze. I would highly recommend this group of experienced and knowledgeable professionals!!!
