Last week, I had an exceptional experience at LensCrafters and wanted to share.
My prescription sunglasses needed adjustment ( frames loose).
I walked into the store and was immediately greeted with a warm "hello". Laurin Lesko evaluated the problem and assisted me. She was knowledgeable, professional and most importantly patient as she made the necessary adjustments.
Thank you!!
Stopped in to browse some frames. Stephanie helped me out and got me set up! She was super nice, knowledgeable, and sweet the entire time. I wish more people were like her, she was awesome to deal with!
I had a great experience picking out my glasses thanks to Andrea who helped me. She was patient, knowledgeable, and really took the time to help me find frames that fit well and looked great. I never felt rushed and truly appreciated their honest recommendations. I'm very happy with my choice and the overall experience!
Visited the Monroe store on 09/26/25; assisted by "Laurin". This person did little in the way of ensuring that the purchasing experience was simple and seamless. However, this person did attempt to pressure me into overpaying for frames, lenses, and unnecessary protection plans. When questioned about the excessive charges, the response was "How much would you like to pay?". Having to negotiate the price of eyeglasses in inappropriate and is tantamount to age discrimination. Purchasing the glasses from this store was a mistake; I only proceeded with the purchase to utilize the insurance benefit before the end of the year. At the conclusion of the transaction, "Laurin" indicated that I would be notified by text when the eyeglasses were ready; my last words to her were to ensure that my phone number on account was correct. Two weeks post purchase, without any contact from this store, I made the effort to call. Was connected to "Stephanie"; glasses had been ready for days, and she verified that my contact information was incorrect. However, like "Laurin", "Stephanie" was very abrupt, and didn't seem interested in providing quality customer service.
Readers of this review...shop around. Take your insurance money to a store that may actually want your business. I did provide feedback through e-mail, and my response appears to have been essentially ignored.
On a positive note, I did receive an eye exam from Deborah Bereda (during a different visit), who is also affiliated with the Lenscrafters facility in Monroe, OH. Apart from being charged $39 for a "retinal exam", the visit was positive; Bereda listened to my needs, and provided a thorough exam. I would recommend specifically requesting her, and taking the hard copy prescription to another store for eyeglasses.
Set a appointment for glasses, asked about insurance was told it was accepted. Showed up for appointment and was told it is99.00 for exam because I was out of net work. Non of the info was given at time appointment was made. Really feel this was a bait n switch. Will never go to or recommend LensCrafters or any eye company owned them.
My friend Andrea works here! Every time she sees my glasses, she offers to adjust them and teach me proper care techniques for them. She speaks so highly of LensCrafters in this location. I'm thinking of visiting to get a consultation. :)
Nice location at an outlet mall. Good quick service. You can walk around and shop while waiting on some glasses to process,
Talk about AMAZING customer service! Stephanie was incredible! So kind, helpful, and intelligent. I'm so thankful she was able to help me pick out the PERFECT glasses and sunglasses today. She also was so sweet to my fiancee and talked to him about The Reds while we were getting sized for the glasses. Thank you Stephanie--you made getting glasses a fantastic experience! :)
