Dr. Porter does not treat me, but my mom. She saw him in the beginning of August and he ordered new glasses for her. On August 31 (I believe, may have been the 30th), I contacted his office to ask the status of the glasses. I was told they had "overlooked" the order and they were sent out to be made the day before and it would be 2 more weeks. I waited several more days and called again. I was told that they are unable to rush the lab, the process takes what it takes and it would be September 20th when they would be done. When I questioned that date being more than 2 weeks from the end of August, I was told that it takes 14 BUSINESS days, which I was not told originally. I waited until September 22nd and called again and asked where the glasses were, that there was no reason for my mom to not have her glasses. I was told that they would not make a special trip to her facility for one pair of glasses (apparently even when they screw up), and that I was welcome to drive the 45 minutes to pick them up. Yes, I was angry. Yes, I yelled at Doreen, the "office manager." She was rude and LIED TO MY FACE by saying that they never overlooked my mom's order when I called on the 22nd, even though SHE PERSONALLY told me they overlooked it when I called in August.
My sister picked up the glasses. They are wrong and my mom still cannot see. When she saw Dr. Porter again a few days ago, he shared that he did not "appreciate me calling his office and being rude to his staff." He won't return my calls. Apparently my only outlet to let him know how *I* feel is to leave this review. So here we are...
Dr. Porter, not only did your office manager lie to me, she, too, was rude to me, and I do not appreciate the way my mom has been treated! You and your staff strung her along for WEEKS and provided her with glasses that she is unable to see any better with. I don't appreciate being lied to, being strung along, and my mom not receiving appropriate care. I don't appreciate not receiving a return phone call when I asked for one. If you are going to run a business, you cannot simply ignore those that take issue with you or someone in your office. If I could give you zero stars, I would, in a heartbeat. You, sir, should not be in the business of caring for ANYBODY.
The staff was so helpful, friendly and courteous, especially with my son with special needs. I highly recommend Dr. Porter!
Awesome place!!!! I had a tear on my I and was in so much pain he fit me in and he fixed my eye!!!! Highly recommend him
