One star is for the kind and helpful receptionist -- very polite, humble, and easy to communicate with.
However, my experience with the doctor was not as positive. My daughter's diagnosis later turned out to be inaccurate, which was disappointing.

personally worst I experience when it comes to an eye care provider. like the doctor himself said when it comes to Medicaid he rather do pizza delivery cuz he only gets paid 15.00 I mean I was only in there for about 15 minutes anyways that is not how insurance works so I recommend going to a place that has respect for all their customers not just the ones that spend the most money and what he considers not medically worthy for your glasses is anti-glare if you're someone who needs it to drive definitely go to a different provider if you're using insurance

Wasted my one year eye check at this place. The doctor argued with me when I told him what I was seeing. Rechecked and was surprised I said the same thing. I get my glasses and they are not wearable. I couldn't see out of them. So I had to go pay out of pocket somewhere else. Never have had this issue before. This was a horrible experience and I am so unhappy with how every part of the appointment went.

I had not been to the eye doctor for a while and made an appointment with Dr. Porter. This guy is a professional. Diligent, polite and very articulate. I love my new reading glasses, as that's all I really need right now. Highly recommend. This is how an Optometrist office is supposed to be. Visit this guy.

Received a call Friday that my contacts were available for pickup. Went on following Monday at 1:15 with a closed sign and a phone message that they are not accepting calls at this time. (Monday hours are 12:00-7:00) I would not recommend this eye doctor at all. Look elsewhere unless you don't mind waiting a questionable amount of time for them to hopefully open within their scheduled hours.
