Terrible experience. Date of service: 9/5/25. Despite providing my correct insurance information, the staff repeatedly submitted my bill to the wrong insurance. I paid my copay and insurance was supposed to cover the rest, but because they never billed it correctly, I began receiving delinquency notices. My insurance company confirmed multiple times that they never received the claim. It was nearly impossible to reach anyone at the Eye Center--calls went unanswered and unreturned. When I finally spoke with someone, six months later, they still had no clear explanation. I was also charged for contact lenses I never ordered or picked up. Now they're saying I'm responsible for most of the bill, claiming it was a "specialty service," even though it was the same exam I've had at other eye doctors without issue. Very poor communication, billing errors, and no accountability. I will not be returning.

I had a great exam with my doctor and was super excited because I could see perfect out of the machine. That is a big deal because I have very difficult eyes. Because of how bad my eyes are they didn't have samples but ordered them for me. 1st problem was checkout. I have two policies through VSP and usually have no copay. The max i have ever paid for an exam is $60. They charged me $170. I questioned it and showed them my co pay in the app, but after holding up the line I decided to pay and work it out with billing. 2 Mos later and several calls, no resolution. 2nd problem is I have never received a correct sample pair of contacts or a prescription to order contacts. I went to pick up the first pair and they had me try them on at the office. My vision was completely blurry. Upon inspecting the contacts the dr determined they were made incorrectly or defective and didn't have the astigmatism correction. They ordered another pair. The second set of samples came and they just had me take them. Same issue...no idea if they were defective, ordered wrong, or what the issue was. Nobody has ever followed up. I have already scheduled an appointment elsewhere. I've been trying to get a prescription since the beginning of Nov. For 170 I got to make 20+ phone calls and 3 trips to sandusky. Huge waste of time and money.

I had an eye emergency and they were able to get me in same day. It was greatly appreciated and Dr. Thomas is awesome! Very thorough and she answered all of my questions. All of the office staff were very polite and professional.

You have a great support staff and doctors! They explain to us each step of the procedure for the eye exam. They are very caring and professional. We live almost 50 miles away but it's definitely worth our drive.

We just went in to get glasses for my husband. We had April Zanotti help us with the fitting and she was amazing. Very knowledgeable about discounts and insurance to get us the best price. And really helpful picking out the glasses. Helped with the shape, size and color options so that we were able to choose something that will do the job well and will look nice on. Thank you April!!

First time using Parschauer for my eye exam. Brooke was my doctor and she was great. Very nice and professional, covered everything needed in the exam. All the other staff that I dealt with, were also very nice and professional. Very satisfied with my whole experience.

First of all, the staff was VERY nice and kind in this office. My complaint is after doctoring for TEN weeks and spending loads of money on appointments and prescriptions, I told them that I would like to move to another doctor (Cleveland Clinic). Dr. Thomas was very kind and gave me a referral. First visit to Cleveland Clinic, they took me off of all the meds and said that my eye virus was not active. It was just dry eye! All those weeks of doctoring with Dr. Thomas and my virus was never active. I should have known when the doctor was HAND drawing my virus when the Cleveland Clinic was taking detailed pictures. The HAND drawing should have been my sign. All that money and they don't even have the right equipment. I tried to call Dr. Thomas just to let her know that my virus was not active and she didn't even take the time to call me back. I called the accounting office asking if they could give me a discount because they didn't do ANYTHING for me, they said NO, the bill stands. Ridiculous, they could of gave me some kind of discount. Go directly to Cleveland Clinic, they are professional! I only had 2 appointments which was much cheaper than what I spent at Parschauer Eye Center.

I was very nervous to come there. Everyone was so very nice. The Dr was so nice. But my mind at ease. See u next Tuesday for my surgery.
