Most thankful that my anxiety was quickly extinguished with the kindness of the staff. This kindness was manifested from Dr. Kent to each staff member assisting in my care. May your practice be blessed always.

The office was super nice and clean! I noticed it was pretty busy, lot of different patients there. I went there with my 20 month old daughter, as it was her appointment. Our pediatrician referred us to this office after her eyes starting to slant in. The assistant was nice and patient with my daughter. Dr. Slyvester was very patient with my daughter and did great making animal and baby sounds. I do wish I would've asked more about her prognosis with my daughter. She didn't go into detail how she determined my daughter needed glasses and was far-sighted. After appt, the gentleman who showed us glasses options was very nice!

Dr. Kent and his staff have been a wonderful source of support during this trying time in my life. He and his staff have always been very prompt to answer all my questions and guide me through the hurdles of having my eye enucleated. He did wonderful work and I have healed with no complications. He instructed me how to take my pain medication to avoid experiencing allot of pain during my recovery after surgery. He ensured I had my first pill right after my surgery and that the prescription was filled at the hospital prior to my departure. He provided me with a wonderful person to make my prosthetic. He has also provided me with information on what types of products to use to prevent infection and discomfort while living with my prosthetic eye. My appointments were always on time and I never had a long wait, even on the day of surgery. I give thanks to Dr. Kent and his staff for all they have done for me, to the Lord for blessing them with their skills, and again to the Lord for guiding me to them.

Dr. Sylvester was extremely patient and gentle with my daughter. She explained everything throughout the exam and used various toys to keep my daughter's attention making the exam quick, easy, and cry free! An accomplishment for a 19 month old. Highly recommended!

We are new to the area. Needed to get my 5 year old grandson's eyes checked. They came highly recommended within our community and they did not disappoint! The office staff was very patient and helpful. Dr Sylvester worked great with him! Worked on his level and pace to get through the exam and the eye drops!

Dr. Sylvester is wonderful. She's patient, kind, and always takes her time with my daughter. Her staff is super professional and make you feel at ease which is really important with little ones.

I like Dr Kent. He's very easy to talk to and explains things very well. My only complaint is that my appointment was for 2 pm, which I was on time for, but didn't see the Dr until 3:20 pm. Two other people were brought to the back after me but were seen by the Dr before me. I know the Dr's time is valuable but so is mine.

I made an appointment last year with Dr Kent in Pittsburgh. He indicated i had a blocked oil gland and he gave me a few options to take care of it. I chose to get a shot rather than cut it open. That did not work and several months later i called to make an appointment to go with the other option of cutting it open. I explained all of this when making the appointment. Well, yesterday i had an appointment at 11:00 in the Steubenville office and Dr Kent indicated the only thing he could do was cut it open, but told me he could not do it right now? I was a little confused and asked if he could do it today and at first he was not real clear if he could, but then said it could be done today, but not sure when. I asked if it would be an hour, two or three and again he said he wasn't sure and told us we would have to sit outside of his office in a small waiting area and wait until he had time. My wife and i were very confused because we had no idea how long we would be sitting there. I needed to get back to work and my wife who is a nurse was also scheduled to work in the afternoon. After waiting for approximately a half hour i was called into another room and he did the procedure in 5-10 minutes time. It seems very strange he would tell me he had no idea when he could do this knowing it would only take 5-10 minutes? It made me very angry and i will never go back to him again. He is an arrogant little man with a very bad personality. He's very lucky i wanted this done now and not have to make an appointment with someone else because i would have told him right then and there what i thought of him. I know a lot of doctors feel they are the most important person in the world and there time is more valuable than others, but it's really not. We have important things going on in our lives as well and he should be more sensitive to that. Also, he was having a hard time logging into the network yesterday and in my opinion, he could have been a little nicer to the women that were trying to help him. Bob Newton
