Eye Care Specialties - Strongsville

I recently took my child to Strongsville Eye Care for their first eye exam, and our experience was excellent from start to finish. The young ladies at the front, Krystal and Mikaela, were so kind, patient, and welcoming. I had my younger kids with me too, and they made sure we were all comfortable, which meant a lot as a mom. Krystal was especially sweet and helpful when it came to picking out my child's glasses. She gave honest feedback and helped find a pair that fit comfortably and matched my child's style. Mikaela was also friendly and professional when assisting with the measurements, and both of them made the visit feel very easy and stress-free. The doctor was extremely patient and gentle. My child was a little nervous at first, but the doctor took her time explaining everything, helping her stay calm and relaxed throughout the exam. She made sure we both understood what was going on, and that really showed her care and professionalism. Overall, the entire team had such a warm and welcoming energy. The visit went smoothly, and the glasses were ready even sooner than expected, which was a nice surprise. I truly appreciate the great service, kindness, and patience shown to us. I'd definitely recommend Strongsville Eye Care to anyone looking for a friendly and caring eye care office.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sika for 24 years. He is an excellent physician and the only reason I stayed with this practice as long as I did. I had an appointment scheduled 9 months ago and confirmed it when I received a text reminder on December 27. Today, I drove 40 minutes each way, arranged childcare for my 2- and 4-year-old, and arrived on time--only to be told I did not have an appointment. The front desk staff rudely and repeatedly told me that her manager "called and canceled" my appointment on January 6, 2026 at 3:30 PM. I received no phone call, no voicemail, and no written notification. I even checked my phone records through my service provider, which confirm no incoming call at that time. Despite this, the staff member continued to insist that the call was "documented in the system," with no apology and no effort to resolve the situation. This resulted in over 1.5 hours of wasted driving, unnecessary childcare arrangements, and a completely avoidable disruption to my day. Dr. Sika is excellent--but this office's front desk staff and scheduling practices are unprofessional and unreliable. After 24 years as a loyal patient, I will never return to office. A practice that cancels appointments without actually notifying patients--and then treats them poorly for showing up--is not worthy of anyone's time.

I have been going here for years. Dr sika is great, but I understand he is cutting back his hours , hence not easy to get an appt with him. The other doc is always running 45-1 hour late and the staff there is no longer as friendly as they once were . I brought my 4 year old son last year and felt super rushed after waiting for an appt. I walked out after waiting 45 mins for my annual exam today. My husband and I will find another office to go to moving forward. There are much better eye doctors in the area, Very disappointing.

Took my adult special needs child to a new doctor and was thrilled with the care she received. Krystal and Dr. Kuder were patient with her and treated her with so much kindness and respect. Highly recommend!!

Located in the heart of Strongsville can make it a challenge to get in and out of the parking lot. There's not much parking since they share the lot with a bank. Once inside you are welcomed. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable on what your insurance company will cover. They have a good selection of frames for the entire family. Dr. Sika has a good beside manner and will take the time to explain your exam and answer all of your questions regarding the method to correct your vision.

A lens on my sunglasses fell out, and I made an impromptu stop in to this location. Kryst was kind enough to fix those for me on the spot. I went ahead and set up an eye exam as I was due for this. It's nice when you can get good quality service.

We ordered glasses from this place and never again. It has been 15 days since we ordered them. The only reason that we went here because they would honor Davis Vision insurance. We were charged $496 for a normal prescription. I asked the woman , how much without the insurance and she told me they would be over $1000. I should have canceled right then, but my wife really needed these.I feel that we were overcharged for terrible service and communication .We are still waiting for these glasses and it is March 2!!

The staff are friendly and the exam is very good. My only issue with this place is that they guard your prescription like it's their first born daughter. I assume this is because they want you to purchase frames and lenses from them. I was told by the doctor that they could print me a copy. I was then told by the desk that they would mail it to me. Appointment occurred greater than a week ago and still nothing arrived. Now I have to call and ask for it. This will be the third time I ask for it. Why do I have to ask three times for something that they should've given me a copy of without my even asking in the first place?
