I have been going to Dr.Yuricek for many years and he is a fantastic eye doctor. So nice and well mannered and super friendly. He makes you feel like you two are friends,always has. His staff is super nice,attentative and very professional. You never wait long and the selection is great. 10 out of 10

The eye exam was great, unfortunately the glasses were not. Got them and couldn't see due to everything being blurred. Called and they looked at my prescription, changed prescription slightly in one lens. Still couldn't see when I got them back second time. After being frustrated due to being told my eyes would have to adjust it never happened. Over 300.00 after insurance and I have paper weight for glasses. Eventually I was told they would change my lens for a fee of 50.00. NOPE, you already stole 300.00.

This office goes above and beyond to accommodate and help their patients with everything. Every question, every concern, every issue and every fear was answered. When it comes to appointments they have fantastic hours and a beautiful selection of glasses. They have been able to fit me in for an eye emergency(twice), instead of wasting time and money at urgent care. They are incredible. I want to take this time to acknowledge Dr. Yuricek for being patient, kind, and thorough with his appointments. He is truly a cutting edge optometrist and we are lucky to have such a professional in town. Cannot recommend lynx eye care enough.

I have been going to this guy since he was located at the eastern mall in Niles years ago. He has come such a long way since then. Always great conversation and showing that he cares. He offers a nice comfortable environment and professional staff. What more could you ask for. Highly recommend!

Fairly new to his office, they make you feel comfortable and welcome. Great staffing all the way to the dr. He is Sociable with a great sense of humor..

Review of Dr. Yuricek's Office - Disappointing Front Office Experience Despite a Professional Doctor I don't typically write reviews unless the service is either truly exceptional or exceptionally poor. Unfortunately, this falls into the latter category. It's been nearly three weeks since my appointment, & I'm down to my last pair of contact lenses. Despite repeatedly mentioning my limited supply, the front office staff has been consistently unhelpful & unwilling to provide support. First, I want to be clear that the doctor himself was excellent--professional, personable, & attentive. He took his time to make me feel valued as a patient. Based on his care alone, I would have considered returning... however, the administrative side of this practice took care of any of those feelings. I scheduled my appointment for May 5th and noted at the time that I was almost out of contacts. The person on the phone was polite & accommodating. But when I arrived, I was immediately put off by the behavior at the front desk. Before I even checked in, I overheard both receptionists on the phone with other patients, visibly rolling their eyes at each other & making sarcastic comments about not having ordered someone's contacts. It was unprofessional & left a bad first impression. When it was my turn, there was an issue locating my insurance in their system, & instead of offering to help, they made me feel like I was making it up. Only after I insisted they call the number on the back of my card did they begrudgingly do so & find my information--accompanied by groaning & obstinance. Once I was seen, everything changed. The doctor was knowledgeable, thorough, & kind. I mentioned I was considering switching from daily to monthly lenses, & he gave me a different brand to try. Unfortunately, those lenses caused significant discomfort after just a few hours of wear. I called back to request my original daily lenses for comfort's sake, expecting they would offer a new set of trials. Instead, I was pushed to purchase a full order--at $163 per box per eye. I found the exact same lenses for $109 per box at 1-800 Contacts and let the office know I'd be ordering from them instead. That's over $400 in savings annually--hard to justify ignoring. From that moment on, their attitude completely shifted. I was told that because I wasn't buying contacts through them, I would no longer receive any assistance from them, & they refused to provide additional trials. I pointed out that I had paid over $250 (after insurance) for a contact lens fitting, yet we hadn't successfully fit me with lenses. Their refusal to help was disheartening & unprofessional. After holding for 10 minutes, they reluctantly agreed to order trials, stating it would take 4-5 business days. It took over two weeks. I had to call every few days for updates. When I finally received the lenses & went to order from 1-800 Contacts, I encountered more problems. The office would only fax my prescription--not email it--which was a frustrating but manageable hurdle. Once I got the fax, I realized something troubling: the sample lenses I was given had a new prescription due to production issues, but it had never been officially updated or written. This discrepancy delayed my order, as 1-800 Contacts couldn't legally send me lenses that hadn't been prescribed. Their customer service was stellar throughout--much better than the doctor's office. When they contacted the Dr.'s office to confirm the prescription, they were told it would be sent right away. It wasn't. I called again the next day, & the staff member I spoke with chuckled & replied dismissively, "We'll send your prescription when 1-800 Contacts faxes us and prompts us." The condescension was infuriating. I, once again, had the prescription faxed directly to me & sent it in myself. This entire process has been long, frustrating, & completely avoidable. Final Thoughts To Dr. Yuricek: you are a capable & compassionate optometrist. My advice is to reevaluate your front office staff. Your patients & practice deserve better.

Love this eye place. My husband and I have been coming here since 2016 however the past few years we were rescheduled multiple times. Yesterday, less than a month til our appointment we were told we couldn't come together with later hours until May. I'd be out of contacts by then. Friendly staff and doctor, but we had to find a new Dr due to the constant rescheduling these past few years.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Yuricek! He's knowledgeable, patient, and listens without rushing you through, as if you were on an assembly line. I put complete faith into his decisions and what is best for me. Highly recommend him.
