If I could give one star I would. My son who is deaf (important for the review) has had an appointment scheduled for almost a year for the end of December. I received an automated message that there was not an appointment for the beginning of the month. When I called to inquire about this I was told that my son (again the son who is 100% deaf and can not communicate via phone) had CALLED in to reschedule the appointment. I make all of his appointments for him simply because it is easier communication wise as most facilities to not have the capability to assist him. The woman then indicated that well SOMEONE called in to reschedule with a snippy attitude after I explained that he was deaf and could not call in himself. Maybe it is an after the holiday issue, but I decided if this was how I was going to get treated before even walking in the door, I would go elsewhere.
Here I am a week later after applying mediation for eye surgery that is causing blurry vision was canceled! No one from the office has called to help correct this issue at all! They had me use the eye drops for 2 days and then canceled now I'm having to close that one eye to see clear! I'm not associating with them anymore my site is life most important assets for surviving as a senior citizen!
The doctors and staff at this eye hospital are among the best, and I give them five stars for their work ethic and kindness. Azimi
I didn't have any issues the day of regarding my name and chart. The doctor was great. He's very knowledgeable and took his time. The only hiccup was the PA? Nurse? I honestly don't know what the title is. But she gave me a hard time when I requested she shut off the loud, high-pitched buzzing light which was bothering both myself and my service dog. She claimed it was needed for the appointment (yeah...later) and when I said I couldn't stay in the room then, she got huffy and said I'd have to wait in the front then until another room opened up. I dunno, Karen, maybe just maintenance your equipment or something? ANYONE would have been bothered by it, and I have a DOG with me, plus my own sound sensitivities. It really isn't that big of an ask in the accommodation department, but she acted extremely rude over the whole thing.

Original Review:
So, because you have a chart with my deadname on it, you think it's okay to NOT change it until after I come in for my appointment AND you'll continue to deadname on the call even after you've been told? Yeah...I don't think I wanna go to your office now.
UPDATE: I decided to give them the opportunity to fix this rather than find another doctor. I called in and immediately the staff member I spoke with updated my name without issue. So, clearly, there was no policy in place, failing of tech, or any other legit reason to not update my name in the first place. Clearly, whoever took my original call needs to be retrained because treating someone in the manner they did is highly inappropriate.
The staff here was great. Especially the nurse that assisted with my procedure and took great care of everything with such a polite attitude. Dr, Smith sat down and explained everything in detail and during the procedure, explained everything that was happening before she made the next move. Down to the sensation I would feel from it. I am very happy with the services I received here.
I'll die on the road before they'll do anything to help me. No surgery 5 years and counting and writes that my need for night vision glasses is optional and I almost crashed 2 days ago on Market Street, just 1/4 mile south of 224, I swerved wildly to avoid going over the curb! Turns out that I couldn't see to know that I was even in the turning lane. I called and left a message yesterday (early morning), and haven't heard a thing. Wish someone could recommend an ophthalmologist.
I asked for my contact prescription but they refused to give it to me without a $75 "fitting exam." I've explained I have had contacts for most of my life and did not need to be shown how to wear them. I contacted my previous doctor from 3 years ago who had no problem mailing my contact prescription to me. The staff was nice. The doctor was impersonal.
Very Nice sounding lady answered phone, she then asked me what insurance I have before scheduling exam. As soon as I informed her of my provider, she replied in an annoyed sounding tone, "So sorry, we don't accept your provider, AT ALL!" then hung up on me. (What a great way to lose business, had you stayed on the line for another 3 seconds, you would have heard me say "OK, I'll pay cash then.")
