I encourage folks to find care elsewhere.
Out of control wait times both on the phones and to get an appointment.
Dr. Labrum has zero interpersonal skills and it is like having an eye exam from a robot.
Staff are unable to provide an itemized receipt yet require payment before service. Staff say it's out of their control and to call the billing department for an itemized receipt but there were 47 people on hold when they tried to reach billing.
You would get better service from Costco or LensCrafters. If you have an option to be seen anywhere else in town, you should do so.
They're very efficient and fast, and have all of the necessary equipment to test for almost anything. I arrived late and they still got me in and out fast while getting all of the info they needed.
Love the service here! I needed to establish myself as a new patient since my oculoplastics specialist left and OHSU is so amazing! They were able to see me without too much of a wait and the service was great. I've had a very positive experience with their ophthalmology and oculoplastics teams.
Never go there. They make you wait 5 and 6 months for appointments. Then after waiting six months, they randomly cancel your appointment on you without letting you know and to make you wait another six months. And they continuously do it over and over. It could be years before you've seen by anyone. My last appointment i showed up a few minutes late and they turned me down.
I've been coming to both locations at OHSU for the past thirty five years due to being a preemie and having cryotherapy eye surgery on both eyes at birth in order to stop my retinas from detaching, the surgery was only successful in one eye (better one than none! ) Without OHSU I would not have vision! I can't appreciate enough how quickly they've been able to get me in for any eye emergencies I've had over the past thirty five years. Thank you Dr Calcano for taking such good care of my eyes during birth to teen years! Thank you Dr. Stout for having been such a wonderful Dr. for the majority of my life! Thank you Dr. Stutzman, Dr. Harkness, Dr. Linn, Dr. Chen and Dr. Labrum for being extremely observant and very thorough during my most recent visits! Shout out to Dr. Simonett too! I go to several different departments at Casey Eye for my complex eye health and it's the ONLY place I trust for doctors to touch my eyes! Truly amazing doctors here in my thirty five years I've been coming to OHSU! Also Lulu in the optical shop is super sweet and really knows her stuff!
I have been seeing Dr. Elizabeth Edmonds for several years for glaucoma. Today in the office was a typical visit which was excellent. Very efficient staff at check-in, Pepper and Biff, also very friendly.
Assistants to Dr. Edmonds, Jacqueline, was very nice and explained everything. I was sent for imaging over to David and also has incredibly excellent manner with patients, showing me some images and talk to me through things. In all regards an excellent experience, which is why I continue to receive my eye care here.
Developed strong astigmatism. Ophthalmologists here insisted it was merely dry eyes over a two year period. Went to a strip mall in Tucson Arizona and they adjusted my prescription perfectly. I wasn't able to safely drive a car at night with the prescription I got at Casey Eye. Now I have perfect vision at night.
On top of that they kept telling me that I might have glaucoma without being able to confirm or deny with certainty over a three year period. I do not have glaucoma.
You'll be better served at a random Costco or Walmart. I cannot possibly exaggerate how unprofessional, rude, dismissive, and ultimately wrong they were.
14 years ago Dr Falardeau miss diagnosed me.
I'm now seeing Dr Kroeger who says the damages is permanent. OSHU refuses to amend my records
So I can get an accurate diagnosis and prognosis. Theyy blocked me from seeing the good doctor's like Chamberlain Kennedy and Hubbard.
Be careful This has destroyed my life.
They say I'm depressed, who wouldn't be.
