What a kind man Dr. Loftus is! My eyes aren't easy to work with, I have aged as well as separate seeing eyes. He patiently worked with me and together we figured out a plan to work best for me!! The ladies out front were very polite as well! Thank you for great service.

My experience with Ashland Eye Care has always been great. The staff has been consistently friendly and helpful. And I have found Dr. Loftus to be very attentive, thorough and kind. Good news! I love my new glasses!

Just like most business in eye care, they care about the money and don't try to help you though you offer to pay the full for better glasses, or bend so you can get glasses that are best for you. I wanted my prescription eyeglasses filled, instead he sold me heavy weight, large thick lenses on "reading" glasses. I didn't know about "reading glasses) I wanted my prescription. He couldn't agree to remedie the issue so I left him to enjoy the wrong glasses he sold me and the money he took. Pretty bad, I'll never recommend Ashland Eyecare. Strongly distrust his selling tactics.

I was impressed by Ashland Eye Care, the staff was friendly, Dr. Loftus was very thorough in his exam. The office was cozy and they accepted our QMB under OHP.

I would've given a 5, but the gal at the front acted like she had never pulled out gasses before. A year ago I would've give a 5. The difference between them is huge. The gal a few years ago, bent over backwards to make sure that you know which glasses your insurance would cover what it wouldn't before you picked out the glasses you feel in love with. The gal this last week, pulled out one of the most expensive pair. She didn't tell me till I not only picked them out, asked a second opinion from someone else, then could really see myself in them, did she finally tell me my outta pocket was more than I told her I wanted to pay. She should've pulled out the glasses insurance would cover, and then the ones that would cost $1-$25, $26-$50 and so on. And let the customer pick from what they can spend. If your going to pull out one at a time, at least tell them how much each one is. I felt like she didn't want me to know how much they were till the last moment. As for the doc, amazing. He very kind and works with you tries to make sure you get the right eye sight. And takes as much time as you need to do the exam. I was having a very hard time cause my eyes were so dry that even the light itself on the wall was blurry even with my glasses and the eye machine. But over all, I would definitely go back. Only tell the lady ahead of time how you wanted to pick out your glasses.
