Glance Glasses (Lake Oswego)

I was looking for a place that fixes eye glasses, as my wife had bend the arm on her new glasses. I called Glance, based on a good review I had read, and she was happy to help me. She did it while I waited and charged me a nominal fee to do it. I had asked her to actually charge me more, but she didn't feel right about it. They also have a great selection of designer frames that I hadn't seen any place else before. Highly recommended. A++ service and a great selection.

Glance saved my glasses! I like to buy interesting/fabulous frames while I travel. While risky, I generally get the lenses put in locally. For the first time, that ended in absolute disaster (long story short). My frame came back in pieces. I drove up from Eugene after asking around to find a place that deals with high end, unusual frames, hoping their lab would be familiar with what I had, and could salvage them. Les spent so much time working on how to resurrect my frames, even going the extra mile in contacting the manufacturer for a few items to be sent so the lab got the mounting right. AND THEY DID. And to top it all off, these are probably the best lenses I have ever had. They even overnight mailed my completed glasses to me so I didn't have to drive back up. Absolutely the best service at an optical shop I have ever had. Hands down.

Wow. Great store, fantastic selection and even better service. Lisa and Bob come across like generous and caring hosts when you come into their shop. They take the time to understand what matters to you and easily and gently make recommendations and offer suggestions for frames, while explaining the pros and cons of the different lens options available. Their prices run the gamut from affordable on up and yet all of the glasses are carefully curated by Lisa to reflect the Glance aesthetic of both quality and style across all of the price points. Without any pressure I was led to a variety of options that were so good, I had to choose two pairs. Highly recommended. If you haven't been and you are in the market for glasses, you owe it to yourself to see the difference.

My friend and I entered the store on a whim. We were immediately greeted by Les who gave us an unexpectedly educational and fun experience. We learned how to pick out frames that fit our faces and unique personalities. His intention to create a fun filled adventure was clear when we tried on a myriad of eye wear without any pressure to purchase. He truly has a passion for eye glasses and it shows. Also... the place is stylish with lovely bathrooms with heated seats! We will definitely return and I am dreaming about my new future pink cat eye glasses :) Thank you for making our day!!!

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! Eye doc has told me for 3 yrs now that I need reading glasses, but I can't get over the hump of entertaining the idea. I've never worn glasses or contacts my whole life. Window shopping with a friend and we happened by Glance Glasses. Les spent an hour with us, teaching us how to buy frames, listening to our own individual styles and suggesting frames. His genuiness and care and humor and just plain friendliness changed the way I see myself and got me over the "I could never wear glasses" hump. He made wearing glasses seem much less "traumatic" and actually a little fun. He was patient with me and after seriously suggesting roughly 20+ pairs (I'm picky) we found ones that i liked - ones that fit my personality and style. I am forever grateful!! I'd definitely recommend this place. They're not out to sell you - they're out there to help.

Glance is so far above those others (Costco, Lens Crafters, America's Best...) it's almost inexplicable but, I'll try. I went to Glance after failed eye surgeries to correct my vision and allow me to go without glasses. The Glance experience was wonderful. The frames there are by no means run of the mill. Unique and personal styles and very patient, honest and knowledgeable staff. The best part: When I got my glasses, the lenses and my vision with them was amazing. My vision was well defined and sharp. A huge cut above all the other places I've purchased glasses for the last forty years. They are more expensive but, you will notice a big difference the minute you put them on. Totally worth it! Thanks Glance!

My first time there(new to area), I found it after leaving 3 other stores with no luck. Lisa stocks so many amazing frames, but she really just walked me over to the coolest glasses I've found in years. So fast!! She had me in the coolest frames in a third of the time it took me to drive from the last store that carried nothing that worked for me. She's fun to work with & her updates on progress...geez, I've never had that before with eye care. Go see her!
