I originally was scheduled for cataract surgery with another provider but was not feeling secure about their procedures. A neighbor suggested Dr Gregg at Lake Oswego Eye Clinic as she had seen him for years and was very happy with him (including cataract surgery). So, I went to see him and immediately canceled my other appointments. I am soooo glad I did!
I had cataract surgery on both eyes.I wanted mono vision and both came out perfectly just as I wanted. Dr Gregg is very good at this surgery (over 5000 and counting). He was very conservative and careful about my care in all aspects. He has been friendly and helpful at every step. I highly recommend him (as does my neighbor).
When I discovered that I needed cataract surgery, my regular eye doctor referred me to another clinic, but after a couple of visits there, I didn't feel comfortable moving forward with them.
Then, I was referred to this doctor from an acquaintance of a friend of mine.
So glad I was directed to Dr. Gregg! He is very knowledgeable, skilled and experienced. He mentioned that he has already performed over 5,000 eye procedures, which is very impressive! He is able to diagnose with confidence, has a competent staff who assist him, and I always felt that I was in kind-hearted hands. Kayla is very professional, knowledgeable, and was able to answer all my questions before and after the surgeries. My two procedures were scheduled a month apart, with follow ups to monitor the healing process. The recovery went smoothly, with minimal inconvenience or discomfort. The difference in my vision is amazing, and I'm truly grateful to be able to see this clearly again. If you need cataract surgery, I would highly recommend Dr. Patrick Gregg! He is a true Rock Star!
I accompanied my 85-year-old mother to her 4:00 p.m. appointment with Dr. Gregg -- she's been a patient at this clinic for several years, but this was my first time going in with her. She had previously mentioned that the office didn't feel very warm or welcoming, and unfortunately, my experience today confirmed that concern.
While the appointment itself was adequate, we were quite surprised and disappointed by what happened at the end. After her 4:00 appointment -- which your office scheduled -- we asked to look at new glasses, as she had just received a new prescription. The receptionist informed us that we would need to make a separate appointment because she was leaving in three minutes. It was 4:57 p.m.
I work in retail myself, and I cannot imagine telling a customer I couldn't help them because I was about to get off shift -- especially when they had an appointment at 4:00 and were simply trying to make a purchase. What was most concerning was that the receptionist said she couldn't assist us because her boss doesn't want to pay overtime. That's not just inconvenient -- it sends a clear message that your office prioritizes payroll policies over patient care.
My elderly mother now has to come back a second time for something that should have been a natural next step in today's visit. It's not only an inconvenience; it also feels dismissive of her time and her needs.
I hope you'll take this feedback seriously. At the very least, it seems reasonable to expect a bit more flexibility, compassion, and accommodation -- especially when dealing with elderly patients who already made the effort to come in for an appointment
I've been going to Lake Oswego Eye (and their Canby office sometimes) for years now and have nothing but good things to say. The staff are all friendly and professional, and when shopping for glasses I've never gotten the hard sell. I see Dr. Gregg for ophthalmological issues as well and he is great. Highly recommended.
Dr Patrick Gregg and his team are outstanding, knowledgeable, professional and did a great job!
My mom and I are patients of Dr. Gregg and we've both had wonderful experiences at his friendly, professional Lake Oswego office. From routine office visits to eye surgeries, he and his staff have provided us with exceptional care.
I'm not sure why I had such a different experience than the other reviewers, but I did. My daughter and I went in together to see Dr Gregg first appointments of the day. The two women behind the counter were busy discussing their weekend and barely welcomed us. The appointments felt rushed and Dr Gregg spent only a few minutes with me even though we were new patients. He didn't address my concerns but rather got me out of the room as quickly as possible. When I got into the waiting room I understood why: it was filled with patients. Clearly this office is run with a mentality of quantity, not quality.
Everyone I met there, from the doctor to the woman at the front desk, was rude and curt with me. When my daughter and I compared notes after appointments, she had the exact same feeling. Figuring maybe we had an unusual experience, we waited until my husband had his appointment a week later to discuss our experiences with him. He went to see Dr Gregg to get his eyes examined as well as purchase new glasses. After the appointment with Dr Gregg, he was told to go wait in the waiting room and someone would assist him with the glasses. He waited and waited, but no one acknowledged him or helped him. Rather, one woman behind the desk was instructing an apparently new employee. He left ignored and with no new glasses.
Our family will not return. If you don't want to feel like all that matters is how much billing they can get from a quick visit with you, don't go. We were run through the visit just like cattle with absolutely no professionalism or customer/medical care.
Having been to all three of Dr. Gregg's offices from minor surgeries to getting new glasses I could not have had a better experience. Office folks were overly helpful and Dr. Gregg spoke on a very personal level. I would send my kids there...
