America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

I picked this location over the one on Hall due to bad experiences on that Americas Best. I had always liked and trusted America's best but the last couple times made me want to try a different location and had high hopes for this one. Unfortunately the experience was only mildly better. The store is in a better location and easier to get to, though parking will be an issue depending on the day as it is a busy area. The store is very clean and nicely laid out, The selection appeared initially to be a nice variety. Initial impression was good so far, greeted when came in, checked in though they could not find my insurance coverage, gave up after 10 mins and submitted myself. Went to browse the selection and realized an issue. The frames were the same ones from 2 years ago. Even found my same frames I bought previously. This has never happened before. Same selection of frames but now at twice the price!! Finally got to see the initial person for brief eye health check, declined the extra checks. This person (forgot her name) was very helpful and outgoing. Then proceeded to the eye doctor for eye check and Rx determination. This is where the experience went down hill. She might as well have been a board. She did not talk, did not want to answer questions and was very monotone when she did talk. She quickly went through the choices given and then ushered me out of there quickly. Then got to the Sales person who did not help me pick out frames or offer any help at all. I picked my frames out then got processed. I might as well have been a no body as I she carried on conversations with the rest of the staff and did not offer my any help. I had to ask about options and set up of my glasses. In this respect the place on Hall was better. Finally got out of the place with a depressed feeling, glasses ordered that were twice what i paid 2 years ago. I got my glasses. One pair worked fine but the other pair was off, things were slightly blurry, I could see better from the old Rx. Explained this to the guy who helped deliver the glasses and was told they would get better in a week (spoiler I did not and they still blow it off). The person I picked the glasses up from did not even help ensure they fit. So for twice the amount for glasses and frames I got 2 year old selection, an eye doctor who seemed like she did not want to be there and a staff that would rather talk about the UPS person who came in to pick up packages then to provide any assistance. 2 weeks later I still have a pair of glasses I cannot see out of and these are my main glasses for driving. Avoid and go to someone else other than Americas Best, cannot recommend them anymore.

I was able to book an appointment super quick. The staff was so very helpful and very good at what they did. The kindness shown by the staff was exceptional. My tests were done with exceptional skill and knowledge. I would highly reccomend that anyone who needs to be seen book here.

America's best On SW. Pacific Highway was amazing. Lily was so kind and understanding. She really went above and beyond in the care she gave me. I can't believe the good deals that I got today and I would recommend them to anyone who needs regular glasses and prescription sunglasses.

I got glasses for my cousin and me from here. Both ladies who assisted us were incredibly kind and helpful. The service was excellent, and the support we received made the experience so easy and enjoyable.

Nancy, on 12/17/2025 at the Tigard location was super helpful, pleasant, and knowledgeable. She came over and completed my order for two pair of prescription glasses, after Ariel(sp) rudely stated out loud in front of other customers that I was out of control and that I was asking too many questions and she was tired of repeating herself, as though my vision and eyeglasses safety concerns were not valid.

I had a really good experience here today! Chris, the store manager, was extremely polite, humble, and very helpful. He took the time to listen to me, explained everything clearly, and even suggested contacts that would work best for me. He's very friendly and easy to talk to, and you can tell he really cares about helping customers. Thank you Chris for making the whole experience so smooth and pleasant

The staff here were so fun and nice, it really made my experience a great one. I came in with the "here we go another appointment" attitude and left with a smile and all my questions answered. Thanks, ladies!
