Penney Eye Care - Bethel Park

I'll admit that I have a phobia of eye doctors, and eyes gross me out. But with some recent vision changes, I knew that I had to make an appointment. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. Having the technology where the chances of my eyes not being dilated was a huge stress relief. Having everything explained step by step was comforting, and I actually learned things about eyes. While my eyes ended up mostly okay, they gave me a prescription to reduce eye fatigue. Many thanks, and highly recommend!

On May 14, 2025 my husband and I were scheduled for eye exams at Penney Eye Care on Library Rd in Bethel Park, PA. I needed a diabetic eye exam with the results sent to my PCP and I am also required to get an exam every year after having LASIK surgery in 2002. My husband's exam was standard. We were checked in, examined by Dr. Anderson and choosing glasses in what seemed like a very short amount of time. The eyeglass technician (I apologize if that is not his correct title!) Ralph, was awesome! Very helpful and entertaining, even selected a few frames for us that we may not have looked at otherwise. Our glasses were at the office and ready for pick-up a week later. I had been to Penney Eye Care a few times since Dr. Penney took over the practice after Dr. Sames retired and took the Optical Images name with him. This visit was my husband's first time. He indicated that this was a great appointment and he is VERY well pleased with his new glasses! He said they are the best he has had in recent memory. I am not surprised in the least. Looking forward to a long relationship with Penney Eye Care.

I went to Penney eye care for an exam and it was my first time here. My exam was very thorough and I was pleased with it. I found out my prescription I went in with was too strong and that's why I would get headaches when I wore my glasses. I picked out new frames from their wide selection and was able to pick up my new glasses less than two weeks later. Dr Anderson did a great job and the staff is very caring!

Dr. Penney and her staff are wonderful! My daughter was having problems with one of her eyes and could get no E/R or other health facility to handle or accept her for an appointment! I called Dr. Penney, explained the issue, and she saw and helped my daughter immediately! She gained a lifelong customer because of her actions when no one else would help. Thank you for caring!! I just had an appt. myself and got the cutest frames and a CORRECTLY ADJUSTED contacts Rx. I can now see clearly again!!

This was a great experience! Everyone was so nice and helpful, and Dr. Penney was amazing! Even the women helping me pick out my glasses were friendly and offered good suggestions. I was so happy with the experience, I actually moved both of my children from their pediatric optometrist over to Dr. Penney! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Dr. Penney has a way of making her patients feel comfortable, heard, and cared for. I never wait for my appointment or to be seen; everything is explained clearly and I can tell she loves what she does! Ralph took care of me for my glasses, and he helped me select the right frames and lenses for my rather hefty prescription. I absolutely refer all my friends and family to Dr. Penney!

My daughter and I both had appointments with Dr Penney last month. Dr Penney and team explained each step to my 10 year old daughter which made her feel comfortable throughout the exam. The entire team is professional, caring and efficient! The office hours are convenient for working parents. I highly recommend Penney Eye Care for your vision needs!

Dr. Penney and her entire staff were wonderful to work with. Everything ran on schedule and I felt as if my questions were answered thoroughly. There was also a nice selection of stylish glasses to choose from, I can't wait to pickup my new pair!
