I made an appointment with Dr. Alterman after my family doctor recommended his expertise for a "botched" cataract implant from another provider. I was a bit nervous about the visit as the other provider had lied to me and told me there was nothing wrong with my implant (which she had done 10 months prior). She just had me visit her numerous times, charging me the copay and other out of pocket fees, and told me I had "dry eyes". Needless to say, Dr. Alterman not only found a film on the implant, (which was noticed by an Optometrist when I was examined for reading glasses), but also a slight fold. Dr. Alterman was able to immediately "laser" the defects and a day later my bleary vision (which caused constant blinking), has greatly cleared. Hopefully, when I return for my 2 week post-op visit, my vision will be totally cleared.

I went to see Dr. Alterman for a cataract surgery consultation. I was treated royally from the first telephone call making the appoiontment with Shannon. My appointment was for 9:00 AM. I arrived 25 minutes early and was taken almost immediately thereafter. Every staff member I encountered was courteous, professional and explained what they were doing in the process. Dr. Alterman was a rock star. His examination was very thorough; he explained what he saw and how he proposed to treat my condition. He further explained all of the options available and answered every one of my questions without hesitation and complete confidence. I will look no further and have scheduled the surgery to be done by Dr. Alterman in a timely fashion. I highly recommend Dr. Alterman and his staff for any ophthalmological procedure one would require.

Dr. Alderman examined my eye and made his diagnoses and explained to me my eye situation and how to go forward with treatment and also a checkup with retinal specialist. Dr Alterman was very professional in his treatment of my eye and also explaining in detail what was happening in my eye. Definitely would recommend anyone with an eye problem.
