Hartman Eye Group

The optometrists and rest me medical staff are terrific!! Kind, friendly, carrying, and never feel rushed if I have any questions etc. The other side, the eyewear staff, in my experience are not patient, not very accomodating, and a bit rude. Again, just my opinion from my experiences there.

I had to take my baby today and the doctor was amazing. Very professional, great with handling babies for their visit. Would recommend this eye group to anyone looking!

The Ophthalmologist was very nice and professional however there were hidden fees and the used a some device without my knowledge on my daughter who is a minor and up charged me $130. I've called to question the bill several times and can only leave messages. The billing department has not called back. Poor business practice. Will not go there again......

Surgery center where I had my cataract surgery is a 5 *. The optical however is a 2*. Didn't take my glasses because I wasn't able to see out of them correctly. Went elsewhere and now I can see fine. Also found that Hartman was expensive. My balance here was 294.00 that my insurance didn't cover. Where I finally got my glasses atca different place, the balance the insurance didn't cover was 44.00. What a difference in the cost. Saved myself a ton of money and now I see just fine. I will state that Hartman did reinstate my insurance so I could go elsewhere. NO CASH. Since when is money no good ??? What's next ?

My husband was recommended by our family eye doctor to the Hartman Eye Group and 20/20 surgery center for cataract removal and lens replacement in both eyes. His cataracts were fast growing and he was losing his distance vision in just a few months. The staff, nurses, and doctors of the Hartman Eye group were wonderful and very professional in setting up the treatment as soon as possible. My husband opted for the basic lenses that were covered by Medicare and Dr. King Hartman performed the surgery. It's a total of three weeks for each eye to heal with special drops after the one day surgery procedure. My husband can't believe how good his vision is now. Much thanks to everyone at the Hartman Eye Group. It's truly a miracle!

My first appointment for eye exam and glasses was great the staff are all wonderful. I had to have a follow up after a issues with my eye which I ended up on a weekend at a med express. I was treated as best they could but told me to follow up with my eye Dr so I called Hartman and got an appointment. I got there and the staff again were wonderful. I was seen by a Dr Colby Hartman he was very rude and made me feel I was bothering him and talking up his precious time. He told me he was an eye surgeon and he didn't know anything about my problem. Only thing I got from that appointment was a referral so I am glad about that but I am sure I won't be stepping foot there again. He may be a great surgeon but he needs to learn how to speak to people. It was a very upsetting experience.

Hartman Eye Group is a first-class operation. Their new offices are beautiful. It is a very busy practice but they do a great job of moving you through efficiently and quickly. The entire team is extremely friendly. You can tell they love what they do. Both Dr Hartmans are very knowledgeable and take the time to explain your situation to you. I can highly recommend this practice to anyone. For me it was well worth the drive from Pittsburgh.

The posted business hours are from 8 to 4. Told glasses are in pick up anytime. When I arrived at 12:00 find out the are closed for lunch until 1:00. Please update you business hours if indeed you are not available during lunch.
