I cannot recommend this practice. In spite of being given both vision insurance and medical insurance information at the time the appointment was scheduled. My husband was billed $345 upfront for routine annual eye exam and contact lens assessment with no receipt provided at time of service. Our attempts to contact the office by phone and e-mail went unanswered. My husband was told that he was given access to the patient portal, but he was unable to access his account. We dropped in to the practice during normal business hours to asked the receptionist why our insurance was not billed and why our calls/emails went unanswered. We waited 40 minutes to talk with Dr. Lim. During that time the office phone did not ring once. Dr. Lim told us that she outsources her billing and IT services and they were just behind in billing our insurance and granting portal access. She assured us we would be reimubursed for any overpayment once our insurance paid for the visit. It has been two plus weeks since the visit and our insurance still hasn't been billed. Dr. Lim may be a good optometrist but the practice is poorly managed. If Dr. Lim wants to be a fee for service practice, she needs to drop any pretense of accepting insurannce.
BTW - Stephen, the optician that used to work here, is no longer with the practice.
This is by far the WORST customer service I have ever received in my life. 2 months. 2 months of no response through their patient portal or phone. I have called the office almost daily at this point from multiple phone numbers and not ONCE has anyone picked up. It is complete radio silence through their patient portal, no response there either. I had to use their website and pretend to be a new user to receive a phone call days later! All I asked for was my prescription from my latest appointment, they said they would email it to me, and I have received NOTHING 2 weeks later. I cannot fathom how badly run this entire business must be. It's a borderline scam. You pay money for an appointment, waste 2 hours of your time getting your eyes checked, and they refuse to give you your prescription afterwards. Absolutely INSANE.
Told me they billed my insurance when they did not, in fact they never even called them. Charged me $229 at the door for an eye exam the moment I walked in, gave me no receipt/prescription paperwork on my way out, and ignored all of my phone calls, emails, and voicemails for the past 2 days regarding the matter. Now I have to back charge my credit card and file a claim to the fraud department.
Only dilated my left eye during the exam, and then diagnosed my right eye with astigmatism after I had to interpret the prescription on my own, which I requested via email on my way out. Doctor appeared to be knowledgeable, but I will never come here again. Worst customer service ever.
If you're looking for an eye doctor who combines deep knowledge with a friendly, welcoming approach, look no further than Dr. Lim! I can't recommend Dr. Lim highly enough! She is truly exceptional.
Had a great experience at Skippack EyeCare. Their staff is friendly, personable, and helpful, especially with children and picking out glasses. Dr. Lim always provides an excellent eye exam and answered all of my questions and any prescription changes. She's extremely kind, easy to speak with and great with everyone. I highly recommend her!
After confirming multiple times that they took my kids insurance, I got a phone call while I was IN THE PARKING LOT about to walk in that they do not, in fact, take their insurance. I literally talked to them 2 days ago. What an absolute waste of my time.
