If I could give zero stars I would. I waited over 3 months for an appointment here. They called me an hour before my appointment to tell me I needed another referral from my primary. My primary doesn't open this early so they told me I had to reschedule another month and a half later. While I was on the phone with them people were laughing in the background and the woman seemed to giggle as well. Overall behavior of the front desk seems unprofessional and lacks care. Wasted months waiting for an appointment hoping to get me out of pain with an eye issue and they were the most unprofessional doctors office I've ever experienced while never even getting in the door! Disgusted.
I've only had two appointments with Dr. George. Both were morning appointments around 10. Both had me waiting close to an hour before being seen. No apologies. No explanations. They do not value their patients time. If you don't mind the wait, then they are the practice for you. I will be looking elsewhere.
There's always a wait after the time that you were scheduled at this particular place. However, the doctors are good, and the staff is pretty good. But after you've got your eyes checked, you can't get your eye prescription unless you sign off on it.And then you have to wait in a long line again. So to be honest with you, I don't really like this practice because they don't respect my time.Maybe when I leave the practice, they'll realize that the customer's time is important as well
This review is NOT for the practice, but a specific doctor. Who is selfish, and NEGLECTFUL! I had been seen in the Hatboro office and had cataracts surgery scheduled in a few months. One day, my eye went crossed out of nowhere! I called Hatboro office, and they were booked so they made me an appointment at the Abington location, it was the day before a holiday. Geoffrey Kaplan was who my appointment was with. When I arrived, the front desk woman, came out and told me the doctor said to keep a patch on my eye until my surgery in a few months. He told her; to tell me, it would be a waste of my copay to be seen today. I was already there. He didn't even bother coming out to LOOK AT MY EYE! I waited the weekend, and my eye got more crossed. I went to the Hatboro office Monday as soon as they opened and my regular doctor, saw me, and he said, I think you had a STROKE! Get to the hospital. I went to the hospital, and here, I did have a STROKE! Dr. Kaplan should of came out and looked at me when I saw him prior. I could have had another BIG STROKE, yet he told me to just keep a patch on my eye for MONTHS until my surgery. This is unacceptable and I want to warn others about the neglect this doctor practices.
My experience is with Dr. Blair Armstrong. Dr. Armstrong was recommended to me by a family member. Dr. Armstrong has excellent clinical skills and a friendly "bedside manner." She explains everything in clear detail, and answers all questions. Extremely knowledgeable and well-trained. She cares about her patients. Dr. Armstrong is a skilled surgeon and talked me through the entire cataract procedure, before and after. I've had wonderful results with my vision. The front desk staff is always kind and helpful every time I've called or had an office visit.
First time getting an eye exam ever, so I was nervous. The doctors and all of the staff were super welcoming, honest, and overall caring. I will be coming back.
I cannot say enough about this practice. I've been seeing Dr. Kaplan for a number of years and, no pun intended, he keeps a close eye on me. He's very caring and always explains everything to me so that I understand. I also can't say enough praise for York Road Opticians too. This recent visit really impressed me as Catalina spent time in helping me select the perfect frames for my face shape and coloring and I am so very pleased. Keep up the excellent work!
I, like many prescription lens wearers, faced vision challenges and assumed I required a stronger prescription. However, at 52, an eye exam diagnosed cataracts. Uncharacteristically, as a nurse, I felt uneasy about eye surgery. Dr. Cohen addressed my concerns, prioritizing my comfort. The brief procedure yielded remarkable results - 20/20 vision without glasses the very next day. This dramatic improvement reversed my pre-surgical vision difficulties. The second surgery achieved identical outcomes, affirming Dr. Cohen's exceptional expertise and skill.
I remain eternally appreciative of Dr. Cohen's exceptional kindness, compassion, and sincere concern for my well-being.
