Visionworks Hershey Square

It was very easy to schedule an appointment at vision Works in Hummelstown. Then doctor was very knowledgeable. They had a good selection of glasses. I will go there every time I need new glasses.

Just had a horrible experience. (Although not my first bad experience with this specific location) I went for my scheduled appointment today, and upon arriving the reception guy told me "oh your appointment slot was given to someone else because you never confirmed your appointment", even though I did confirm my appointment, multiple times. I in my life have never heard of a place that automatically cancels scheduled interviews if you do not confirm (which I did). What's even better is I received this email after I left saying that I made a request to cancel my appointment... what a load of barnacles! Never coming back to this place again!

Dr Weatherhold is wonderful! However , the girl that works up front is not. She did not know what she was doing, couldn't answer questions and actually told me that she didn't know instead of trying to get an answer. I also could barely understand her ; her language was very difficult to understand

Had an unpleasant experience at another office. They got my son right in. They also explained the initial contact expectations and tips on how to get the most bang for my buck. Pleasant and knowledgeable staff. This location is my new eye home and my teenager agrees. 5 stars for the entire team.

I was hesitant about writing this review, however, my experience was not a pleasant visit to this locaation. I enetered the store location in Hummlestown and this lady (white female) at the front desk who I assume was responsible for greeting customers and welcoming them to the store. I said hello to this lady and this lady responded in a very unwelcoming manner. As a matter of fact, I am not sure she responded. Further, I explained the purpose of my visit which was to have my glasses tighetened and cleaned. Although I felt uncomfortable with my engagement with this employee, I followed her directions to proceed in the back. I did asked her whereabout in the back should I take a seat. It was unclear to me if she meant the back where the row of chairs were located or the seat where technicians help customers to clean their glasses, etc. I probabaly would not have addressed this issue if I had not observed a gentleman be greeted much differently. This gentleman enetered store almost immediately after my arrival. I observed the employye greet him with a warm welcome. This employee all of sudden said hello to the customer and warmly greeted him the at the counter. There has to be a compelling reason why I was not greeted in the same manner. Could it have been the way I talked and/or represented another culture? Maybe because I dressed professionally could that have disturbed her. Something about me caused her to treat me differently than the gentlmen that came in to the store shortly after me. Unfortunately, biases and microgression should never be tolerated in a place of business. Everyone, should be treated with respect and diginity, irrespective of how they look, talk, etc. I have purchased glasses there for over four years. You may check my file. However, I am hestitant to support this store and location.

Due to having a horrible experience at the visionworks Harrisburg Pennsylvania over 5 years ago, with a male doctor who is just not a very nice person. I decided to go with the visionworks in hummelstown pennsylvania. Dr michelle, and her team that are working there at this moment November of 2025, are very nice, very respectful, and just an overall comfortable team to be around. Dr Michelle really took the time to talk about my vision, since I am now 55 and things do change once you get in your mid fifties. I hope to have her as a doctor for many years to come.

Going through continuous headaches after I had eye-glass from them. It was complete waste of money and time! I heard from others having similar experience. And yes, I did not go back. If they did it wrong in the first time, no reason to think they will do better second time. Do not recommend them at all.

Went to Visionworks to find my first pair of glasses yesterday- James was absolutely wonderful! So knowledgeable and patient with me and helped me find a pair that fit me and my personality perfectly. Thank you, James :)
