Thank GOD I chose him and his team over Lasik Experts in Plymouth Meeting. I had my first consultation with Lasik Experts who told me that I was a candidate for Lasik. They never had me go days without contacts prior to my evaluation and the optometrist who did my exam wasn't even the doctor who would be doing my surgery. It honestly felt like a factory to me. There were so many red flags after my consultation that I decided to get a second opinion with Dr. Pyfer and his team. Dr. Pyfer's team instructed me not to wear my contacts for several days prior to my consultation so that they could get a more accurate baseline of my eyes. In doing so, their exam actually showed that I have a posterior elevation of my eyes which means that I am not a candidate for Lasik at all - I needed to get PRK. I decided to move forward with their team and I wanted to highlight some key things that were important to me and why I chose them over Lasik Experts: 1. Dr. Pyfer actually does your evaluation and your follow up apts 2. Laura, his vision correction coordinator, is always available to answer any questions and send updated instructions. There is never a problem with communication or access to appointments. 3. They yielded more accurate results do to their pre-consultation recommendations (do not wear contacts) and therefore determined that PRK was the safest option and lasik was not recommended, thus saving me from getting the WRONG surgery 4. Dr. Pyfer and Laura CARE. They are thorough. They genuinely love what they do. It's an intimate team who wants the best for all of their patients and does not feel like a vision correction factory like some of their competitors. I had a great result and follow up experience!

Dr Pyfer, nothing but the best! Dr Pyfer has been my doctor for 6 years now and after years of considering lasik I finally made the jump! I had lasik on December 2020, I could not be happier with my perfect vision! The next day my vision was better than 20/20! I continue to follow up with Dr. Pyfer every year and just love his office and the atmosphere. Everyone is so kind and makes an eye appointment smooth and breezy. I just got Lasik done by Dr. Pyfer and his team. (This is actually my wives account on Google but I still wanted to write a review). I have always been interested in getting Lasik done but was always nervous as the procedure does require a laser in your eye. I started by having a consultation with Laura at Northern Ophthalmology associates in Jenkintown. She couldn't have been more of a pleasure to work with. She answered all my questions and assured me that I met the requirements to have Lasik done, as not all people are good candidates for Lasik based on several aspects that are reviewed in detail during the consolation. She alleviated all concerns I had and went above and beyond to accommodate me as my wife was 9 months pregnant and we are expecting any day now. I was able to sit with Dr. Pyfer one on one during the consult to ask and answer all my questions and o feel comfortable with him as he was about to laser my eyes. He was wonderful and informative. Once my consult was done Laura answered any technical questions I had and what steps would be next. We were able to schedule the procedure in Plymouth Meeting and plan around my needs. On the day of my procedure she was there to walk me through the process, get me the necessary drops and sunglasses that are needed post procedure. Throughout the whole experience Laura was only a phone call or text away and responded quickly. The actual procedure took about an hour or so between prep time, procedure and recovery. During the procedure I was certainly nervous, as there are lights and lasers and colors and things you have never seen before. One we were done (about 15 min) I had foggy vision, which was normal. I went home and took the 2 hour required nap, however I found it hard to really sleep but more so just relax and allow my eyes to stay closed and begin the healing process. It was uncomfortable the first day. If I could recommend something it would be to have the procedure later in the day so that you can get to sleep for the night a little quicker, which helps your eye rest and heal more. Waking up the next morning was VERY STRANGE. I could see everything, the TV, the writing on the wall 15' in front of me and no more blurry vision. I was a little uncomfortable as it feels like I have something in my eye (which is the dryness that occurs because of the procedure) this was normal and was not unexpected. I'm currently 24 hours post surgery and have been continuing with the required drops they give you, which help the healing procedure. I was driving at 8 am this morning to my follow up appointment where we were able to confirm my vision is better than 20/20. I was on the playground with my son enjoying life without glasses or contacts and still am in shock at just how life changing this was for me. It obvious with any business there are always bad reviews this is not one of them. I think it is important to keep in mind that everybody has different eyes, different health and circumstances. Nothing in life is guaranteed but I couldn't be happier with the customer service and professionalism that was shown to me by Dr. Pyfer, Laura and their entire team. I highly recommend this for anyone who is just tired of the glasses and contacts and are ready to rock their world in a positive way. I have already recommended several friends who have always been talking about getting it done and we never had. I hope they do as I am very pleased with the results and recommend Dr. Pyfer to anyone looking for Lasik. Hope your experience is as positive as mine!

Dr. Pyfer is amazing. I can't thank him enough for literally giving me the gift of sight. There is no greater feeling than waking up the day after your surgery and being able to see the alarm clock across the room without having to fumble for your glasses, or to put your contacts in. He's an expert surgeon, and he has an incredible team behind him. I would recommend him to anyone.

I got my Lasik surgery, and had the best experience throughout the entire procedure. The entire team was very friendly, and professional, and I got my desired vision in the most optimum manner. I would highly recommend anyone considering Lasik to go to Dr. Pyfer!

Dr. Pyfer did an amazing job giving me lasik. I got the procedure done back in December and have not had any issues. I couldn't be happier with the results. The procedure only took about 15 minutes and now I can see better than I ever thought was possible. It was very worth it!
