Formica Optical

Formica optical is really a great place, I have been going there for so many years. Dr Lowry is amazing very thorough and never rushed. The staff is wonderful at helping you with your frame choices and are very patient . I can't say enough about their service. I'm very pleased and I will always come back every year.also it's locally owned and operated... that's another bonus

Went to get my lenses put into different frames because mine broke but the super nice gentleman fixed my glasses handled with a screw and didn't charge me. I just came from getting fitted for some new glasses and the women who took care of me was so wonderfully polite and caring, thank you, wish I knew her name

Wow! This was the best experience I have ever had at an optical office/store. Every single person I encountered was nice and knowledgeable. They worked together seamlessly to give me the best service. I went in with a pair of glasses that had a broken hinge on one temple. My husband asked someone if they could possibly find another frame that was similar so we could just pay to have my current lenses installed in a new one. Not only did they work to find the matching frame, (my frames had an uncommon type of cat eye) they also offered to just install a new hinge and temple on the broken pair at no charge! That was the option I chose. The temples have a sort of floral watercolor pattern and they found a temple that almost matches perfectly. They look great again!! Along with the repair of my current glasses, I wanted to order a new pair. They have SO MANY frames to choose from. I had been to three other places and had not made a decision on one until I went to Formica. I found a frame that really suits me and they got it all written up with my prescription I had brought from another optical place. The optician, Ron, was so thorough and accurate with my measurements (they have a double check system in place for bifocal placement). He was friendly and funny and then quietly worked to get me all the extras that my insurance would cover. I am really impressed with everyone and I'm looking forward to going back to pick my new glasses up in 10-14 days. Many thanks to the great people at Formica Optical!

I love this office! The doctor is very thorough. I ordered more frameless glasses and they are wonderful!! I recently moved to Beaver county. I happened to break my glasses. I called the office and the gentleman knew exactly what I needed. I offered to mail my glasses to the office on Monday. I received them back today, Wednesday! Two days later! How is this even possible? I just can't say enough good things about them!!!

The entire staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Our trip was fast, convenient, and informative. They have a very good selection of frames and a lot of insurance-covered frames. I wouldnt have thought of going here before, but now that we have well be going here exclusively for anything eyecare related.

Staff is always so nice. And if you bend or break your glasses they fix them!! And fast!! Great selection of frames. Always offer a trial pair of contacts, and a little bottle of solution. Super friendly.
