Everyone at Armstrong Eye Care is great to work with. They take time to listen and are eager to help with your needs and concerns. Dr Steinhafel is awesome! In addition to his thoroughness and skill in the exams he is willing to share his knowledge and explain the details of what he finds and the best options to address any problems or conditions. I highly recommend them!!!

Dr Steinhafel and the staff at Armstrong Eye Care are TERRIFIC! DOC KNOWS EYES! He along with his staff are personable and make you feel welcomed. The trip from the Erie area is ALWAYS well worth it.

I drive an hour and fifteen minutes to see Dr Nathan Steinhafel from Bethel Park. I was referred to him from Dr. Furman. The drive is worth the time. Dr. Steinhafel listens, has patience, and finds the solution. Thank you Dr. Steinhafel and all the staff!!

I brought my son in for an exam and had the Worst. Experience. Ever. Our appointment was at 12:40 and we did not walk out of their offices until 2:50. We waited for 1 hour and 7 minutes before we were taken to a room to do the preliminary eye work (read glasses prescription, take measurements, etc.) and then proceeded to sit another 30 minutes in the "rear" waiting room before we were actually taken to an exam room. A student did the actual exam (she was the star of the show - very professional) and once completed she informed us the doctor would be in. We proceeded to wait. Again. My son was over it at this point and so was I, so I went to basically call off the whole thing and get our prescription printed. I ran into the student and asked her if it was actually necessary to see the doctor since she basically did the entire exam anyway. She replied that he likes to "pop in and say hello" so yes. I had a not so nice response of "so basically we're going to sit for another hour so he can 'pop in to say hello' - gotcha" and then proceeded to wait. Lo' and behold, within 5 minutes the doctor shows up and basically goes over the student's work, making a minor adjustment to the prescription. He did apologize for the long wait and claimed he had no idea how it happened (my guess was time mismanagement, but I digress). The icing on the cake was that he has notes in front of his face and was still quoting misinformation that I had to correct him on, as well as the student. So, 2 hours and 10 minutes later, we're finally leaving with a pair of backordered glasses and a lot of anger. It absolutely boggles my mind that doctors' offices can charge you a fee for not honoring their appointment but when it comes to them disrespecting your time, there's absolutely no repercussion for them. To be fair, I can not verify this is Armstrong Eye Care's policy. It's merely a general observation. If you are searching for an optometrist, especially one that specializes in pediatrics and values their customers' time, then look elsewhere.

Dr. Nathan Steinhafel was absolutely amazing with my son!! My son was SUPER anxious and scared at his appointment, but Dr. Nate's kindness and compassion helped ease his fears.

My daughter was a new patient and was well taken care of. Everyone is so nice from the moment she went back to the moment she picked out her frames. Her eyes were checked and rechecked to make sure everything lined up for her new prescription. Thank you! I'm a future new patient myself, and this comfort me knowing I'll be in good hands too!

Jill and Dr. Shirley,, make you feel very comfortable, professional in the care, they administer. I feel they are extremely competent, knowledgeable and caring, I'm fortunate to have them caring for my eyes...which are very healthy at this time.

Although my appointment ran half an hour late the staff and Dr Nathaniel were all great
