Retina Associates of Lancaster

I was referred to Dr "P" from my cataract surgeon. I just completed my initial exam with him at his office on Embassy drive. I am extremely impressed with the professionalism as well as the entire staff's focus (no pun intended) on the details of a complete and accurate examination of my eye issue. After having both eyes extensively photographed with advanced imaging equipment I was ready to meet Dr P. When he entered the exam room, he immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease with a warm welcome. To describe Dr P, I would say he is engaging, extremely confident in his profession and skills and willing to dialog with you regarding your questions and concerns. This, to me is the epitome of what a doctor should be. After 10 to 15 minutes of interaction (I never felt rushed) he examined my eyes one last time, gave me his observations and provided me with all of the information and confidence necessary for me to schedule my surgery with his practice. This experience was a refreshing reminder of what medicine should be! What a pleasure.

My Dad has been a patient at Retina Associates of Lancaster for about 2 years. He was diagnosed with macular degeneration and was referred to this practice. Dr. P and his team couldn't have been kinder or more knowledgeable. They took their time and explained my Dad's condition. Dr. P asked about my Dad's other health conditions and truly cared and listened. I've never met a doctor who cares like Dr. P does. My Dad gets injections in his eyes and Dr. P couldn't have been more reassuring about the injections. I was informed by my eye doctor that my peripheral vision was changing and that he would monitor it. I was at an appointment for my Dad and Dr. P asked me (as he always does), how I was doing. I told him about the issue with my peripheral vision and he asked me some questions and then said, that he wanted me to make an appointment with the receptionist and that he would help me. I met with him and he did testing and determined that I have a retina condition and I am now a patient at this practice. I've never met a doctor who is compassionate and cares like he does. His team is just as kind. And compassionate as he is.. I recommend Dr. P to any family member or friend that tells me that they're having retina issues. Dr. P and his team are the best.

I am a 66 year old woman who has never written a review but I definitely must write one for Dr P. He is an absolute blessing to have as a retina expert. He is a phenomenal surgeon and the most caring and humble doctor you could wish for. I was extremely stressed during my emergency visit related to my torn retina, but Dr P's confidence and kindness put me at ease. The combination of his expertise, compassion, and patience makes him the most amazing doctor you can find. His staff is also fantastic; super nice and welcoming. The whole experience with Dr P and his staff was by far the best I've ever had. I highly recommend Dr P.

Dr P is wonderful. I could give a long laudatory review but I'll just say I would never go anywhere else for an eye problem and would recommend you to please see him if you need an eye Dr.

I can never recommend Dr P enough!!! Although I am younger and most of my friends don't need retina specialists yet, I am constantly telling friends and family how much I trust and love my retina specialist. Eye troubles lead to anxiety, pain, and stress. Dr. P and his staff treat me with respect, without judgment, and listen to my worries. After some horrible experiences at a big retina practice, I left to follow Dr. P. If you have ever been to a Retina specialist, waits are typically long, so don't be turned off, simply understand that there are true eye emergencies, this was me the very first time. And now after 5+ years I am happy to wait to be seen but the best doctor ever! Thank you to Dr P and staff for always taking care of me!

Wonderful experience! I interacted with 6 different employees- every single one of them were pleasant. Driving in the car, I was incredibly anxious for my appointment. I wasn't sure what they were going to find during the scans. As soon as I walked in the building, I got a wave of relief. The atmosphere was very friendly. First woman was front desk: she was professional, efficient, clear, and polite. The second woman: professional but very funny. And when I expressed I was nervous for the eye drops she stopped what she was doing. Put the eye drops down, and said "Let's talk about this...". She went through the whole process and the importance. Overall reassuring. The third woman: Efficient with the eye scan process. And she didn't make me feel stupid when I was placing my head incorrectly or not looking where she needed me to look. The fourth woman who roomed me: friendly vibe and efficient. Dr. P: knowledgeable, reassuring, answered all my questions, funny, and didn't put off the "I'm smarter then you" vibe (which unfortunately some doctors can make you feel this way). The last employee I interacted with was another front desk woman and she was very polite, clear, and kind. Working in healthcare can be overwhelming and leave you burned-out. I've worked in healthcare for 9 years and it can be draining, to not put that on your patients can be challenging. I've also been to medical appointments and was completely dismissed and made to feel stupid with my concerns. It's refreshing to see this office has not fallen into that negative category of healthcare.

I cannot even begin to express what a blessing it was to get an emergency appointment with Dr. P! He is phenomenal. Every Single Dr. should be like Dr. P! He truly cares about his patients. He is quick- conscience and lets you know exactly what's going on , what to expect and reassures you that in case of an emergency he will be there ASAP. Again, I feel very blessed to have made that appointment. His staff is also fantastic!! I highly highly recommend this practice you will not be disappointed but rather at ease.

I appreciate Dr. P's kindness and attentiveness toward us patients. I entered his care over 6 years ago, under dire circumstances. He is that rare combination of astute diagnostician and as stated by so many patients, an empathetic practitioner, as well. His surgical skills and clinical expertise are unmatched.
