Focus on Eyecare: Michelle Wertelet, OD

On Tuesday, December 2, I noticed a black floater in my right eye. I called Focus on Eyecare and Dr Wertelet saw me as soon as I could get there. And, I wasn't a regular patient. More importantly, she discovered that I had a torn retina and contacted a retina specialist and scheduled me for the earliest appointment that same day. Dr Wertelet was very caring, personable and professional.

Dr. Wertelet and her staff are outstanding! Her care is thorough, understanding and patient. She goes above and beyond listening to you and explaining clearly all information she has for you. You are not rushed during your exam at all. I've lived in a few states and she is the best eye doctor I've ever had. Also, the office is extremely clean and there is free parking.

I've been a patient of Dr. Wertelet and Focus on Eyecare for approaching 2 years. She always provides comprehensive and outstanding care at each appointment. She always makes you feel valued. She takes the time to explain what she finds during exams and, more importantly, what you can do to keep things on track. Her staff is wonderful as well. They are just as caring and willing to work with your schedule to find the right appointment. I cannot recommend Focus on Eyecare highly enough. It is truly a wonderful practice and should be strongly considered if you are looking for a family eye doctor.

Extremely thorough, professional, intelligent and kind. No rushing, super present and took care to offer custom, current solutions. Her office staff is professional, warm and engaging. Highly recommend!

It was a wonderful experience for my two daughters who had never been to an eye doctor before. Very caring and helpful with all parts of the appointment. You could tell they really cared and did not feel rushed at all. Would strongly recommend!

I was blown away with how friendly, welcoming, and patient everyone in the office was with me! I haven't been to the eye doctor in many years, so I wanted to be sure to do a thorough check of my eyes. With that being said, I dug through several in-network providers through my insurance, and happened upon two offices that really stood out to me based on location and reviews. This office -- and one that was right down the street from me. The other office was booked out by months, and Focus on Eyecare had availability that was wildly quick! They are a newer office, so they are still establishing their clientele, I believe. I was also very happy they had an online scheduling option. It's such a green flag for me when offices are up-to-date with the times! With how long I have neglected my eye care, I forgot how hard of a time I have choosing 1 or 2, haha! Dr. Wertelet was so sweet about it, and answered ALL of my questions graciously and with tons of detail. The amount of patience she had with me, as well as the level of care put into my appointment overall, was truly remarkable. I have never been so blown away by a simple eye appointment! I HIGHLY recommend anyone and everyone to give this office a chance. Great people, great service, great technology.

This place is truly the best!! I hadn't been to the eye doctor longer than I care to admit and Dr Wertelet made it all so easy. She explained everything thoroughly to me about my eyes and about all the testing she did. And answered my questions and concerns. Her staff was wonderful as well and I definitely will make it there yearly to have my eyes examined. I wish I would have done it sooner.

An amazing experience to say the least! The exam was so thorough and the doctor took so much time with you. The staff was wonderful and so welcoming. In addition, the glasses were beautiful and so well made. I told everyone I know about this place, and they all felt the same way!
