I have taken my kids here for the past two years. The office staff is very helpful, knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly. The eye doctors also do a great job! The last time we were there my daughter saw Dr. Miranda Maney who was fantastic! She really took her time and gave a thorough eye exam and came down to my daughters level. My daughter absolutely loved Dr. Maney and I was beyond pleased with her. She went above and beyond and did a great job! Awesome experience from start to finish! Top notch practice!

This place was great!
However, I wasn't so sure at first.
The scheduler was friendly and accommodating of my work schedule.
The exam was fine. Eye doctor was nice. Mary, the manager was very helpful finding the style of frames I was looking for at a price I was comfortable with, etc.
Then came the snag. The vendor took FOREVER getting the order to them (me).
First it was lost on route (UPS) Then they reordered it, and it was back ordered.
However, Mary kept after it for me like a bloodhound. I could have got a refund but I really liked the glasses.
When all was said and done, the order finally came in. Mary went to her manager and they agreed to refund half my purchase price.
In the end, complete customer satisfaction. Hopefully they won't silently dread to see me darken their doorway as a customer again.
I went to this eyeglass place recently, and honestly, the customer service wasn't great. The two women at the desk belittled me and made me feel dumb for asking questions, which made the whole experience uncomfortable and honestly made me lose interest in purchasing anything there. They were not friendly at all and didn't seem interested in helping, almost like they were rushing me or just didn't care.
On the bright side, the guy at the front desk was really nice! He had actually helped me schedule my appointment the weekend before and was super polite during my visit. He genuinely seemed like he wanted to help, which I really appreciated. If the rest of the staff were more like him, I think it would've been a way better experience. It'd be great if they put more effort into making customers feel welcome instead of dismissed.
I tried to schedule an appointment here and the ladies that answered the phone were telling me my birthday was wrong on my insurance. I was trying to ask questions because I'm not an insurance expert and need to talk to other people (so I need complete information), but was cut off over and over and the manager was raising her voice with me like I was being combative. I couldn't fit a word in edge-wise from beginning to end (with both of them). I canceled and I'm going somewhere else!
This was such an odd and uncomfortable first experience with an eye check up. Never having had an exam before, I went in to see if there was any recommendations Dr. Whipple could give me for the double vision I have at night time. I got an appointment for the very next day, which should have been my first red flag.
After the initial exam, he prescribed me glasses with a small prescription with lenses with a glare coating. He told me it would not completely remove the glare/ghost image I see but I could hope to see some slight improvements. I received the prescription and wore for several nights and saw no noticeable difference whatsoever, in either blurriness or the glare. I made an appointment to go back in for a recheck to see if anything could be done or adjusted on the lenses, or simply if the doctor had any other recommendations for me.
Dr. Whipple told me in a secondary exam that there was no changes and that there was nothing he could do for me. When I further explained my concerns, he became defensive and treated me as though I was in the wrong for asking questions. I explained again that there was zero difference in any blurriness or glare I saw. He said I don't know what more I can do for you, what do you want me to do? I told him I don't know, that I was there to ask what he thought. It was a very odd exchange for a professional.
He offered me a referral for an ophthamologist which I was confused by, and just asked what the difference was in seeing that doctor versus him. He again was defensive and shaky in his responses. Clearly this is not a doctor who is skilled in clear communication and direct conversation. At one point, he told me I was "acting unsure when I said yes to his referrals". I responded that I wasn't acting like anything, I was just asking questions. The verbiage in this exchange was very unprofessional.
Ultimately this experience was a waste of $145 on a pair of glasses that do nothing for me, and an overly combative exchange when asking questions. I did not feel listened to or like my concerns were communicated effectively by the doctor. I have always been under the impression if something in your medical/vision care doesn't work for you, you need to communicate with the office to see what, if anything, could be done. This is clearly not the case at Eyeland. Even if there is nothing to be done, like in my case, the conversation does not have to be defensively charged.
I had a wonderful experience here earlier today! The mood was positive and the staff was very friendly. Nicki was awesome to work with. She helped me explore the different options after learning what I was trying to accomplish. She helped me understand pricing and helped me find the best deal that worked for me. Doc Hauk was a great doctor who made me feel comfortable and confident in his abilities. This was my first time going here, and I will definitely be returning. All staff members that I interacted with were courteous and accommodating. Very excited to pick up my new glasses and contacts when they are ready! Thanks for a superb experience guys!
My aunt is in a local senior center and had lost the nose cushion. We were driving home from a birthday lunch and although they were closing in 45 minutes they took the glasses, replaced BOTH nose cushions, cleaned and gave us a case to boot!! I'll be returning for my own things now!!! Thank you Mary!
I was greeted promptly and, after a quick temperature scan, I had time to look over frames for the glasses I planned to order. Collection baskets were located around the room for depositing the frames I tried on so they could be disinfected before they were returned to the shelf. Next, the paperwork was quick and easy to complete. The doctor was efficient during the appointment, and gave tips for preventing my mask from fogging the exam equipment. Finally, they accepted my vision insurance so my new glasses were half the price of my previous pair. Overall, it was a very positive experience.
