I bought two pairs of glasses. I noticed I had a bubble in the glass so I took it back. The kid working , Morgan, had to look up to see if it was covered under warranty. It wasn't my fault. It was in the glass. He sent for a new lens. I go get the new lens put in and notice I couldn't see right. Here the bifocal was slanted on the new lens. Had to make another trip there only for Morgan to tell me it was correct, not slanted maybe off less then a millimeter. I ended up asking for a refund. I had the glasses less than a month. Here's the picture. You decide if the bifocal is slanted.
I have been going to this eye center for several years and never had a problem until yesterday. I just had an eye exam and got new glasses there a couple months ago. The coating started to wear off the new glasses. So bad that I could no longer see there them. I took them in yesterday. They took my glasses and my info for the warranty and was told they would call me when they were ready. A little while later, I received a call telling me that the "manager" said they would not warranty my new glasses. What? Why? I ran back up there and the "manager" told me that I wasn't cleaning them properly and they would not warranty them? What?!!!! I told her I've been wearing glasses for 25 years and have NEVER had this happen before. I only wear them to drive or watch TV and always clean them with lens cleaner. I am totally outraged. I've had dollar store readers last longer than these glasses. I am very upset that they would treat a long time customer this way. We were getting ready to book my daughter's eye exam as well. NOT NOW! My family won't be back.
My husband got safety glasses here, and when he picked them up, there was a crack in the top of the lens. He hadn't noticed when he picked them up (after just trying them for a minute to check the prescription). When he brought them back two days later, he was told he didnt pick them up like that (he did, and I have a timestamped photo to prove they were damaged like an hour after he picked them up) and that he should have bought the protection plan (which wasnt offered to him). He went back yesterday when another employee was working, who said they could take care of it. They called him back today to say "oh, nevermind. The manager said no." They're safety glasses. They are literally useless since the lens is cracked. The lens is compromised and is no longer safe. At this point, we might as well just chuck them in the trash. As someone who works in optical, not standing by your products is absolutely wild to me.
The staff is so kind and helpful. Frames are so cheap compared to other places too! The cheapest pair they have here is $9 but I got a very nice pair for only $48. I've been to 4 vision centers in my life and this is easily the best one. They're open long hours so it's always convenient to find a time. They were able to get me in for an appointment very quickly as well. They were busy but the wait really wasn't long at all, they kept it moving quickly.
My bifocals with no line have the reading glasses part so low I must tip up my head or look down my nose to read..or lift the glasses. Bad thing is I got 2 pair that day.. also can see a logo etched in the glass at bottom outermost corners that looks like a smudge when I look that way. Should have gone to America's best..
The "doctor" missed major issues with two of my children. One was concussed- treated for dry eye; one recently diagnosed with keratoconus- treated for astigmatism. The Rx provided here come directly from the refractor. He has complained for more than a year to this doctor that he couldn't see with the glasses. No one cared. So, in my experience the exams are bogus and I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. I knew something was wrong, but I let it go. Follow your instinct- take your family to credible physicians! I tried to save money and travel time and now my son is fighting for his vision.
Also- I spent about $350 on a pair of glasses in Feb '22, only have the frames come apart about 6 weeks later. Not my doing. A metal piece disconnected from the stem. They told me it wasn't normal wear that caused the damage. I convinced them to replace the frame- with the display because I need them to drive. Terrible customer service. The metal piece disconnected AGAIN about 2 weeks ago. The frame is defective. I'll never go back there though, so I super glued it so I can use them.
Stay away from this place.
I ordered a pair of frames from here and never got a call back so I called them to ask if my Glasses were ready to pick up. They said yes so my stepfather and I drove to the store which is a little bit out of our way. Once we arrived they only had the lenses ready for me and the frames were never ordered so they decided to put my lenses in the frame of the wall display, I was fine with that until we left the store and saw a bunch of scratches and general wear and tear, We went back in and they agreed to order me the new frames and told me they would be ready in 5 days, I did not get a call back a whole week later, so I called them, The first person I talked to said that there was no order placed for me and she put the manager on the phone, The manager asked about the situation and said that my glasses were ready. So, today we went again and the manager brought me the tray with my glasses, The glasses had the exact same scratches and even fit perfectly from when they adjusted them for me last time, we were 100% sure that they were the same glasses that we did not accept last time, This was annoying but wasn't the reason I gave them such a low rating, The manager kept saying that they are brand new frames and that maybe the marks were from the factory after we told her that they were the same glasses as before she got very rude and very difficult to work with as she kept saying we were lying and that the glasses were brand new, She would leave mid-conversation and ignore us, Then she would not give us the name or number of who to contact about what had happened. I can not express how rude and unprofessional she was, luckily Mike helped us get our refund so I wanted to say that he was fantastic and helped in the situation when the manager would not. The worst part about all of this is that I have to wait 6-8 weeks for my insurance to be refunded so I am left without glasses for at least 6 weeks. Luckily the team lead Mike from the actual store pointed us in the right direction to file a formal complaint.
If you want to see clearly this is not the place for you. I had an eye exam at the Walmart vision center in Uniontown. The optometrist wrote me a prescription for my contacts and I ordered them online. When I received the exact prescription that the optometrist prescribed me I could not see out of them clearly. When I called and tried to explain this to the Manager Tracey she told me that I needed to call the online contact company and that it wasn't their fault. I tried to explain to her that the online contact company only sold me contacts that her Optometrist prescribed. She continued to talk in circles about how there was nothing she could do about it. I'm now stuck with over $300 in contacts that I can't use. If you like wasting money, not seeing, and wasting your breath this is the place for you.
