Cargill Eyecare Wexford - C. Thomas Cargill, O.D.

I have been going to Dr. Cargill for a number of years and can honestly say that I enjoy my visits. The staff is helpful and efficient, the selection of glasses is comprehensive, and Dr. Cargill is very friendly, experienced and thorough. They can put prescription lenses in Costa sunglasses as well - definitely my favorite brand. For me, a local practice like this is preferred over the corporate retail optometry shops because it's much more personal. And although the quality of care is better, I haven't felt that it costs any more than the chain stores. Overall, very satisfied.

My family has gone to Dr. Cargill for 20 years. He started seeing my daughter when she was 7. He was great with her as a little kid, and he's still great with her now that she's 20. My husband and I are also his patients. He always makes us feel like we're his favorite patients (and I can tell from his waiting room that all of us patients feel that way!). From routine eye care to some really worrisome issues, he's always been available, kind, and so professional. He's so smart, so experienced, and so up-to-date. I can't imagine trusting my and my family's vision to anyone else.

I have been going to Dr. Cargill for probably 30 years. I've lived as far as Burgettstown, and now live in Oakdale, and still traveled to Wexford. Yes, other eye doctors are closer in proximity but I'm not willing to give up the care I receive for less travel time - it's well worth it to me. Dr. Cargill's knowledge of all things involving the eyes is beyond compare and he has always made himself available for any issues that I have had over the years, emergency or not, always able to fit me in to see him, etc. His staff also is very knowledgeable, helpful and willing to go the extra mile to help a customer out. I personally dread the day the Dr. Cargill decides he wants to "retire" because I do not know what I would do without him to take care of me. In addition to receiving exemplary eye care, Dr. Cargill, and his staff, take the time to know you as a person which of course makes any doctoring experience less stressful. If you are looking for an excellent eye doctor, I would recommend Dr. Cargill, his staff and office 100 percent.

I went to Dr. Cargill for the first time two months ago needing a referral. I did not want to sit through a full exam, but that's what I got. As the exam went on, Dr. Cargill recognized certain things, that other well-known eye doctors had missed. I was amazed! I spent hours trying to get medical records from Seattle to prove to another area doctor that I indeed had surgery on both my eyes. Dr. Cargill was able to tell me more of my medical history than I would have been able to tell him. Without boring you with many more details, let me just say this: I've gone to 20-30 eye doctors over the years and Dr.Cargill is by far the best and Cargill Eyecare is where my family will go from now on; everyone on his staff makes this a 5-Star Service.

Dr. Cargill and his staff go above and beyond to provide ourfamily with exceptional eye care. There are not many doctors out there that take such care in their work and truly connect with their patients. We are blessed to have Dr. Cargill as our optometrist!

I had a condition where I could not see out of my eye and it was also causing me to be vey dizzy. It was over the holiday break and there were not any eye doctors open. I happened to find Dr. Cargill online and it said he was open. Sometimes just because you are open doesn't mean you are the best one around, but I knew I had to be seen immediately. Let me tell you it was the best "leap of faith" I had ever taken. Not only was Dr. Cargill very thorough and professional, but he also found something that every other doctor had missed (including a hospital). He really took the time to get to the root of the problem and explain everything to me. He then referred me to the hospital because he was afraid of the severity. He not only called me the next day to check on me, he also called me a few days later (On a Sunday) to check on me again since he knew I was being released from the hospital. This was the best experience I have ever had with a doctor in my entire life!! This kind of care and concern for your patients is not something that you learn in medical school.

I have been going to Cargill Eyecare in Wexford for most of my life and have NO intention of changing that! Dr. Cargill and all of his coworkers in the office are professional, kind and communicative. They offer evening hours for those of us who need them as well as experienced advice while choosing new glasses! I highly recommend Cargill Eyecare in Wexford.

Both the staff and Dr. Cargill are great :). I have been going here for years. When I saw him for the first time, he changed my old prescription dramatically, and I was seeing better than I could ever remember seeing in my life. The people at this office excel in every area -- they are friendly, professional, intelligent, knowledgeable, and they help you out however they can :).
