My father arrived 30 minutes early for his scheduled appointment and was denied care due to a Medicare date-of-birth discrepancy that originated on Medicare's end, not his. Medicare continues to cover all of his other medical care without issue. Your office refused to see him, even after he offered to pay out of pocket. He was told this would cause billing problems and that he wouldn't be reimbursed, which is incorrect. He was then told to go to Medicare and was rescheduled for January 2026. We went to the Social Security Administration on 12/10/25 , spent over an hour there, and obtained an official letter explaining the error and providing clear billing instructions. When I called your office (same day) to relay this, the billing representative refused to accept the letter by email, said "we don't do things like that here," and even stated that following SSA's written instructions would be fraud. To make matters worse, my father later received a letter dated 12/26 stating that he missed his original appointment despite arriving early and being denied care. This was a frustrating and embarrassing experience from start to finish. Thankfully, we found another local provider who handled the situation with kindness and without issue. I would be very concerned for an elderly or disabled patient without an advocate navigating this office

I feel scammed by this provider. We were referred to this group by our optometrist (who we love). Before scheduling our appointment, we called their Reading office to confirm that our insurance would be billed. We were promised that our insurance was accepted and that we would only be responsible for a $40 co-pay. At the end of the appointment, they also charged us $50 for refraction testing (not disclosed prior to the exam). While unhappy, I paid the additional $50 hidden cost. Now, they sent us a bill for an additional $145 claiming this was a "routine" visit which is not covered by our insurance. This is completely unacceptable! I will be sure to follow up with our optometrist to advise him NOT to refer patients to this predatory practice. And, I recommend all patients stay clear of this location. Instead, we will be waiting for an appointment at St. Luke's ophthalmology as I feel as though St. Luke's will not practice pernicious medical billing or lie about insurance acceptance. They offered zero assistance when we called to contest this charge despite assuring us our insurance would be applied when we called to check before booking the appointment. I guess we will be robbed of this additional $145 by this shady practice which we will NEVER visit again if this is how they treat their patients and conduct business. Beyond this billing experience - we also had a terrible experience with the provider (who I will not mention by name) who seemed more like a used car salesman than a medical provider. It felt as though she was trying to sell us on a $800+/year myopia program instead of offering options and helping us make the most appropriate medical decision. I wish I had researched their reviews before entangling myself with these thieves as I am not the only reviewer who was lied to regarding charges and insurance applicability. Bottom Line: AVOID THIS PRACTICE AT ALL COSTS.

Came here after a horrible experience somewhere else not affiliated with Eye consultants. Dr. Goldberg was phenomenal with my daughter and her surgery. Very honest and takes the time to explain everything. I always recommend him to any parent. Even after the surgery for any questions or concerns, I'm always able to schedule something him to make sure everything is fine with my daughter.

10 am and they were already overbooked and behind schedule! The parking is an issue too. Took 5 minutes just to find a parking spot and then waited 1 1/2 hours without even seeing the Dr. The staff had no idea how much longer the wait would be so I left. Will gladly find a smaller and better managed office. The least they could do is refund my co-pay.

I did not want to even give one star for this review. I was referred to this practice by my optometrist. Unfortunately, I never did any research and I didn't read all the negative comments on this page before, I had my own terrible experience. At my first visit, I felt so rushed by everyone, I came in contact with, except the person at the front desk. The woman who gave me my eye test was very rude and very short. I knew I had to have the surgery, and I thought things would get better when doctor Primack came in the room. That wasn't the case at all, he too was rude & very short. He acts like you're a bother to him. I went to my appointment for the measurement of the lens that they were going to put on after the cataract removal. At that appointment, I was told by the person doing the measurement that they were gonna do the right eye first. I even remember telling her my left eye is much worse. She said she was doing the measurements on my right eye. (She was actually the only nice person I dealt with except the front desk person.) After they did the measurement for my right eye, doctor Primack came into the room. He made me sit in the chair while he did paperwork and typed on the computer for at least twenty minutes.Then, I was told he didn't need to see me.I could leave. I tried to ask him a question, he kept answering me with, "we're only doing one eye at a time." Which did not address my question. I kept trying to ask him, and that's all he kept saying. He didn't want to take the time to understand my question, and answer it correctly. I had my first cataract removal surgery scheduled for today. Yesterday I went for my clearance from my P.C.P My P.C.P said to me, "I see you're having cataract surgery." I said "yes on my right eye," he said "it says left eye on your paperwork." I went home after work that day and checked my paperwork and on the paperwork, it did say left eye, I had been putting drops in my right eye for 3 days. The next day I called at nine o'clock when the office opened. I left a message telling the scheduler that I was putting the drops in the wrong eye. I was told that I was going to have the surgery on the right eye. It was an hour and a half, and I still had not heard back from anyone. I called and got back and got a phone number for the surgery department. I called them and left them a message and no one returned my call. Only when I said I was calling to cancel my eye surgery, did anyone take the time to return my call and address my concerns. The person who called me back was a scheduler, and she's told me, "you'll be fine." I told het, I was putting the drops in the wrong eye. She told me, "just come in and have the surgery." Sorry, but I don't take medical advice from a scheduler. I told her I was canceling my appointment. All of a sudden, I get three phone calls. Nobody could return my call before, but now that I'm canceling, everybody wants to talk to me. I got a call from doctor Primack. I got a call from his nurse and from the scheduler. I told them that I am not comfortable with doctor Primack and I was canceling. I have had to have over twenty surgeries in my life. I never had a doctor as rude as doctor Primack. I have never canceled a surgery in my life and was really looking forward to having my cataracts removed. Now I have to start this process all over again, all because people refuse to do their job. When they know they're going to lose money, then they can actually take the time to return a call ( 3 times.) My advice to anyone who reads this, stay as far away from this place as you can. After my experience, it is clear to me, this place is all about getting as many people in and out the door as possible. In other words, this practice is all about the $$$. I only wish I would have done research on this place and read all the negative reviews before I went there.

My husband, Mike, was petrified of cataract surgery. Luckily, Dr. Primack and the entire staff at Eye Consultants of PA in Wyomissing not only put him at ease, but walked him through every step of the procedure and after care. He couldn't be more pleased with his near-perfect vision, but he also got a clean bill of health. We highly recommend Dr. Primack and the staff!

I had a mixed experience with this place. I want to start by saying I have been in the healthcare field now as a manager for 15 years, so this review is coming from an informational place hopefully resulting in a teaching moment. The staff overall were polite , but there were a few that were a little hard to tolerate. I will not mention full names, but I believe the staff member with the initial "A" was speaking about the manager "J". This is a conversation that should have been discussed in a more discreet area versus the clinical area. This created an uncomfortable situation for myself who was already nervous for my procedure. This is a shame too because my cataract removal went well and would've easily merited 4-5 stars.

I was very nervous going into Lasik, but Dr. Primack & his staff were wonderful and helped me feel at ease. I am very happy with the results, which are better than anticipated. He advised me that I would likely need reading glasses, but I do not need them yet. This is the first time I have been without glasses or contacts since I was 2 and I am so pleased with the results. I would definitely recommend Dr. Primack to anyone thinking about Lasik!
