Got sent a bill in July for a supposed appt in May that I missed. Twice I've called for the office manager ama get excuses that she's gone and I get no return calls. So there's more to this. First day I called on a receptionist verifiedd my appt wasn't confirmed. They only call the day before your appt. No emails, no texts, no patient portals. 2nd day I call in for office manager, this receptionist said it was confirmed and they called me. Huh, how did that change in one day? So I call VERIZON FOR MY PHONE RECORDS FOR MAY . NOT ONE PHONE CALL FROM THEIR OFFICE! AND THEY STILL WON'T TALK ABOUT THE BILL THEY SENT ME!! This office deserves a zero. Oh yeah and when u do go in for an appt you're going to be in there for 3 hours at least.

They are never on time you can count on being seen 30 minutes after appointment time. The doctor was very rude to my 93 year old father which I found totally unprofessional. Be prepared to make 3 trips to this office if you need glasses, this is what I was told today by office staff. Also, I have never known a business that answers the phone without identifying the business and the person answering the phone. Totally incompetent.

First appointment was the first week of December 2024 for contact fitting. They were supposed to get the prescription and send out for a trial. I came in 1 week later and the prescription had never reached Dan who deals with insurance and the orders. I was told they would be ordered that day. I called a week later to Dan and he stated that he had forgot to order them due to the holidays and being busy and would work on the order. Finally, got another appointment for a contact fitting with the prescription for a trial. I called after a few days to tell him, i wanted to order a year supply. He said he would work on this and contact my insurance. He said it would be 1 week. I call a week and half later. Dan states that they never came in and my insurance wanted to use another vendor which created more work for him. He told me to call my insurance carrier or to get my prescription to go elsewhere for my contacts. I asked to speak with the office manger, Sarah and he hung up the phone. I called the office back to speak to the secretary regarding the lack of communication within the staff and patients. I had been trying to receive contacts for 3 months now. I am still waiting on a phone call from the office manager. I don't believe the doctor is the issue, but the lack of communication between the staff and the staff and patients. It is now February and I still don't have my prescribed contact order.

I called twice within a week and left a message to make an appointment to get checked out for a specific eye disease that he supposedly deals with. Answering machine says they'll call back within a day but nobody called me back. If they're not interested in new patients or don't deal with this issue at least let me know

My husband wait an hour and half after his appointment time to get his appointment started then the doctor took another 20-30 min to come in. Then after all was said and done my husband tried to order contacts 4 months later and when the contacts place called dr bene office they told them his prescription was expired when it was for a year. The office never answers the phone also.

Dr. Bene is a wonderful Doctor. He takes the time to explain any question that you may have, even though I am sure he has the same questions a thousand times, he does not make you feel that way. He is thorough. I have read some reviews on here as to the wait . Let me say that he is taking his time with each and every patient and yes it may be a bit of a wait, but I would rather have a Doctor that takes his time with each patient, answer all of your questions, make sure that he has accurate readings on your eyes, than to visit some other office where, yes you can get through in a short time, but you are shuffled through quickly like cattle going to auction. I for one am very happy to get such care from Dr. Bene and his staff. I will continue to see him and will recommend anyone to see him. Thank you Dr. Bene and your always friendly staff!!!

When it comes to our eyes, we all want the best. I've been seeing Dr Bene for many years now, and I know of none better. Dr Bene is a polite, soft spoken professional who will take all the time necessary to answer your questions, explain procedures, and will never go Forward until you are totally happy. I've trusted Dr. Bene to some serious eye surgery, including operating on both eyelids to reduce excessive skin. You can find Dr. Bene 24/7 if you need him. I know of none better. Greg

I was referred to Dr. David following an eye injury that resulted in an ER trip for my 22 Month old toddler. Dr. David has NO manners and isn't suited for toddlers. He told me I could either "traumatize her or take her to the hospital to be sedated." I will never recommend this practice to anyone.
