Yealy Eye Care

First time patient/customer, and couldn't have been more pleased! I was recently referred to Dr. Yealy by a common acquaintance & had my initial exam earlier today - Dr. Yealy was: 1) pleasant, and; 2) thorough. The entire staff was welcoming and friendly; in particular, the person that assisted me with selecting my glasses (Tony) was AWESOME. I HIGHLY recommend this practice!

I have nothing but praise for this business. The first time my prescription was made, something was off. They gladly took it back and made an adjustment. The second time was better but it was still not quite there. With no reservation, they corrected the prescription and now my glasses are perfect. This is a commitment to excellence that you rarely see in the business world. A lot of other optical centers would have told me that I had to pay for another exam after the second time. They did not. They were committed to getting it right. And they did. This is where you want to have your eyes examined, and where you want to purchase your glasses. They are simply, the best! Dave Portelles

I called to make a new patient appointment and they were able to get me in the following week. Everyone was nice and efficient. Adam was super helpful and educational when choosing my glasses out. Prices were extremely reasonable even before insurance was factored in. I'm glad I finally found an eye doctor in the area I feel comfortable at!

My wife made an appointment for me at Yealy Eye Care on e Market St. When I arrived, I discovered the appointment was for a regular eye exam but I was expecting a full exam for keratoconus. They could not do the exam in the time frame that was scheduled. Normally I'd be disappointed but Laura and Josh worked together and addressed all my concerns, answered all my questions and came to a reasonable resolution. Basically, I just wanted to get measurements and tests done to my eyes to check the keratoconus progression. Because of my unique situation (my insurance and recent regular eye exam at another office), they recommended that I wait for my next yearly eye exam to get the tests done. They provided me with excellent information and an alternate location for a corena specialist. I can't thank Laura and Josh for turning an otherwise wasted trip into a very informative visit.

Everyone is extremely nice and helpful. Customer service is great. My daughter goes to their Lancaster location to see the pediatric doctor since she moved up there and I go here and we won't go nowhere else.

Not a surprise they are at a 5 star. This by far is the best eye care place I have ever been to. Dr. Yealy was patient and answered my questions and made me feel like I was a person not just a patient. The lady Kandy who helped me pick out my glasses went over my options with me and was friendly and helpful. I am so impressed with this practice. Glad a found them.

I don't agree with the other reviews on here. I was early to my first appointment here because they said I needed to fill out paperwork. It was 2 signatures. I asked the desk staff what the extra exam for $40 was for and neither of them knew. I went right in with the assistant, she did the machine testing before the exam. I was supposed to go right in to see the doctor. However another staff member was in with the doctor. The assistant said, you can sit in that chair, but you won't be comfortable. The doctor will come out to get you. In the meantime, the doctor took another patient without acknowledging me. I went back into the assistant room and said, she took another patient. I asked if I could go sit in the front waiting room. As I was sitting there I heard the doctor with another patient. The patient said, "did you just call me Amy?" and the doctor said, what's your name instead of asking where Amy was. So, the doctor took another patient ahead of me. When I asked the front staff about the situation they totally gaslighted me. "Oh, she is just dilating her eyes" "We have 2 doctors working.". 15 minutes later, the doctor still had not see

After having a bad experience at another doctors office, I was so happy that I was able to be seen by Yealy Eye Care. From the office staff, to the doctors I was given great care above and beyond. They were even able to diagnose a urgent problem and scheduled an appointment with a specialist the next day and sent orders for more tests over to my primary care doctor. If you are looking for someone to give you excellent eye care, please call them!
