I had my vision corrected by Dr Howes in December 2023. From the first contact with his staff, to the clinic appointments, surgery days and follow up visits, the professionalism and customer service were absolutely exceptional. I could not recommend Dr Howes and his team highly enough. The outcome has been one of the best events in my life.

Simply the best! Dr Howes is friendly, approachable, knowledgeable & skilled at his craft. He cares about his patients. He has looked after me for a few years now, monitoring & managing my particular eye issues, so I felt in good hands having him perform lens replacement on both eyes & wouldn't have wanted anyone else doing this surgery. The ladies who greet you at the counter & assist you through all the processes of your visit listen, are helpful & compassionate. My husband is looking forward to his lens replacement surgery by Dr Howes also.

I had Implantable Contact Lens surgery earlier in the year and could not be happier, Dr Howes and his team are amazing and I have zero regrets. For those questioning if ICL surgery is the right choice, it is! The recovery time is nothing and aside from a few rings of light at night for the first month I haven't even thought about side effects.

I highly recommend Dr Howes! He was the surgeon for my partner and his care and concern has been so appreciated. You can tell he knows what he is doing and cares genuinely about his patients.

My experience with the team at the Eye and Laser Centre could not have been any better. With perfect sight up until my early 40s, I like many needed glasses for reading and in recent years my distance vision was deteriorating quickly. I signed up for the free consult and met Jonathan who outlined all my options along with giving me a contact lens to help me decide which option would suit best. I decided that the multi focal lens option was best and subsequently had a follow-up consult where further testing revealed I had early stages of cataracts. I then met with my surgeon Dr Frank Howes and discussed my lifestyle, occupation, and what was important to me. I was given various options with expected outcomes. We both agreed that Tecnis Symfony lens implants would give a great result when removing the cataracts, where I may never need glasses again. Both surgeries went extremely well and within 8 hours of each I could read fine without needing glasses for reading or long distance. The result for me has meant each eye is reading 20/20 or better. I cannot recommend them enough. The initial and pre-op consults were very thorough where specific options to suit my lifestyle were offered. Before going into theatre Dr Howes asked if I had any questions, and I was very well cared for by the day surgery staff and Dr Brown my Anaesthetist. Post-op follow-ups were thorough and all questions/concerns I raised were explained clearly and compassionately. Although it is only 3 weeks since surgery, I'm so excited about never ever needing glasses again, it has truly changed my life. I'm more productive at work, I can enjoy sporting activities more, I'm not bumping into things. Enjoying the simple things like reading a menu or shaving or being able to see the speedo when driving and so much more have made a huge difference in my life. Thank you all so much !!

I had lens replacement surgery in July and now need laser to correct my left eye. But after a two & a half hour wait to see dr howes I am told I need to wait 3 more months to have it corrected! The secretary was quite rude when I asked her how long it would be she said have you been here before? And haven't you been to a specialist before? I am very disappointed in their after care! They could not fit me in until February! I paid $12,000 to be treated like this! Don't they realise they are not the only eye clinic and if they are so busy why not employ more ophthalmologists!
