I recently had Refractive Lens Exchange surgery by Dr Lam and the results are fantastic. After two consultations and lots of questions in between, choosing RLE was the best choice for my eyes and my astigmatism.
The surgery on both days went well. Dr Lam and his staff were amazing putting my mind at ease with it all.
I now have 20/20 vision with the multi focus lenses and it's the best investment I have made on myself. I just wish I had done it sooner.

The staff here are very friendly and efficient.and I could not be happier with the work Dr Lam did for my eyes. I have always needed a very strong glasses and contact lens prescription to correct my vision, when I visited Dr Lam initially I had double vision from cataracts and was very nervous about letting anybody touch my eyes. Everyone made me feel at ease and after a relatively quick surgery procedure I now have 20/20 long sighted vision. I could not be happier with the results and highly recommend the team and Dr Lam at ESI.

I cannot recommend Dr Lewis Lam and his staff highly enough.
I went to see him with Acute Angle Closure and opted for Refractive Lense Replacement.
I was terrified but excited. On the day of surgery my mind was put at ease by the wonderful nurses and staff that work for him.
My surgery took place over the course of two days, one for each eye, and within two days of recovery I was back driving my car with 20/20 vision.
I am the happiest I have been in years with my new vision, Dr Lam really is a truly remarkable surgeon with a bedside manner to die for. I will always be eternally grateful to him and his team.

Dr Lam is a very professional and caring eye specialist. His work is amazing and I would highly recommend him. I first met him when I had a retinal tear and he fitted me in to his very busy schedule to carry out an emergency repair. I then went on to have a vitrectomy which everyone including my optometrist told me was too risky or difficult to perform. Dr Lam is highly skilled at carrying out this procedure and the results have been nothing but incredible. I cannot wait for the other eye procedure to be carried out. I cannot recommend Dr Lam highly enough as my eye sight has been transformed by him.

I could not be happier. Dr Lam and all of his staff were absolute professionals, I was fully informed every step of the way and they delivered on every aspect. The result is that I, for the first time since I was 4 years old am glasses free. 50years and no longer need glasses. 48 hours after surgery vision was 20/20, now, 1 month down the track I am a line on the chart beyond 20/20. It has been a life changing experience and I could not recommend highly enough.

Dr Lewis Lam is amazing! A simple eye check resulted in my optometrist quickly referring me to Dr Lam who saw me the very next day and diagnosed a Chonic Retina Detachment. He explained that I was very lucky I went for that eye check as I was maybe months if not weeks from loosing my vision in that eye. Various surgery options & risks were explained thoroughly and his advise was a procedure to attach a Scleral Buckle to the back of my eye. Surgery for this procedure was booked and proceeded on the next working day. The surgery was successful and I could not fault the care & attention received on the day of surgery and all the post surgery checkups that followed. Thank you Lewis for saving the vision in my eye. Lewis is a truly brilliant, gifted surgeon who is passionate about providing the very best care.
