I have been a patient for over 20 years.
Have always been satisfied with the care.
My insurance just recently changed to Medicare A and B only, so I added VSP to cover additional. I received a disconnected exam with only 3 exam computers and a peripheral analysis, no MD exam. I was told that the Dr would review my computerized analysis and pictures and he would call me at a later date. Quite a change. Outside of that the office is spotless and staff is kind and knowledgeable. Let's see what happens!!!!
The personnel up front was very kind and helpful! Person doing the initial exam was very thorough and professional. Loved Dr. Jennings. He was great at explaining all the steps in the process and very encouraging!
The staff were amazing, very knowledgeable and personable. The doctor I saw was outstanding. I've been to many eye doctors and he by far is the best in RI. He took the time to hear me out, explained and came up with a plan that works for me. From the front desk to the doctor to the vision team, all just amazing.
You can tell when people love what they do in how they treat their patients.
10/10 would recommend.
Dr. Dina was patient, took the time to listen, and made sure all my questions and concerns were addressed. I appreciated how thorough she was.
My regular eye doctor is on maternity leave and has provided the same level of care, so it meant a lot to feel comfortable and cared for during my visit with Dr.Dina.
We stopped in today after a visit to Urgent Care. My son had some metal in his eye that could not be removed at Urgent Care. The care and service this morning was fantastic! We were taken in right away and the care my son received was top notch. I am very appreciative of the care and service and will recommend Vision Associates in the future!
EDIT to add: They clearly do not care for there patients, only their "positive" and recent fake reviews. They've flagged my review twice now and it's been taken down. I will continue to repost this because what they did was unacceptable and others should be warned.
TL;DR: They will break your glasses then expect you to pay for it.
Ive been a patient here for over 11 years, and im very disappointed to have to resort to this. I used to love this place and always had a very helpful doctor. Lately however, its seem like nothing but problems. The final straw was my recent visit. I had a follow up appointment which was good. The problem was with the optical department.
After my appointment, I asked if I could have my glasses adjusted because they kept sliding down my nose. Without a word the woman took my glasses to the back and adjusted them. After getting them back and trying them on, they were now snug but I noticed a bit of a pinch on the bridge of my nose. Take off the glass to look and theres now a fairly large crack on my frames that sit on the bridge of my nose. I pointed out the crack and was told that it was "normal". When I tried to say it they were cra ked before hand I was told "it must have been there before" followed by "I only adjusted the legs". I genuinely could not handle the stress and left.
Once I was sitting in my car I could see that the frames had been twisted, the lenses were no longer flat across. The bottom of the right lens was now sitting on my cheek and the top of the left lens was contacting my eyebrow, not something I immediately picked up on as I was focused on them not sliding down my face. Considering I had been up for 16 hours by this point, I figured I might be okay for a couple weeks until I saw my eye doctor again. All week I dealt with the pinching on my nose. After a couples days I found that they were cutting into my skin.
Once I realized they were cutting my face, I was going ti call the office, explain whats happening, and hopefully get things taken care of. I didnt get the chance before they completely broke in half, in front of my orthodontic surgeon. If it wasnt for my prescription safety glasses, I would have been stranded at the doctor's office because I would not have been able to drive home.
I proceeded to call the office and explain everything. There was a pause and girl came back and told me she spoke to the woman in optical and that she warned me about what would happen if they adjusted me glases. I told her that was not was happened, I wasnt told a thing. I asked what can be done about this and was asked if I could come in.
Once I was there I was told to head over to the optical department to see what they could do. Same woman that cracked my glasses was going to help me chose a new pair. When I explained that I wasn't going to pay for their mistake, she said that there was nothing they could do and that I have great insurance. (Even if i used my insurance I would have to pay for new glasses). I explained again, that I was not going to pay for their mistake, and once again she tried to back pedal by saying that she told me about what would happen if they adjusted my glasses and that it was policy. Again I told her, you did not say anything when I came in and reiterated exactly what happened that day when I did come in.
Spoke to the front desk again and requested to speak to my Doctor. He wasnt in, so I requested that they call me the next day. Next day has come and gone and still no call. I honestly cant believe how bad this office has gotten in the last couple years and that they wouldn't make right on there mistake to keep a patient..
I am very satisfied with the way the office is run. Very efficient, and a good feeling about being there. My doctor is doing a great job with me. I am very happy with everything.
I can't say enough great things about this office. Dr. Jennings was first to notice and issue which lead to discovery of a rare condition....to say I have the upmost confidence in him would be an understatement...he is an amazing Optometrist. The staff are extremely friendly as well. Great location!!
