Dr. Tien has been my son Noah's doctor, and I am beyond grateful for the care he has provided. He has taken wonderful care of my son's eyes and has truly made a difference in his eyesight. My son had a few eye problems, and thanks to Dr. Tien's dedication and expertise, his vision has improved so much.
He is my son's favorite doctor because he is always kind, patient, and takes the time to listen. He makes every visit comfortable and reassuring, which means so much to us as parents.
Dr. Tien genuinely cares about his patients, and it shows in everything he does. We feel so lucky to have him as our doctor. He is truly the best, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for excellent eye care for their child.

We were referred to this ophthalmologist by our primary care physician. The office was very clean. Everyone there was very polite. The nurse assisting the eye doctor was very accommodating and thorough. The visit was overall pleasant would refer this doctor to anyone with a toddler.

Usually it is a pretty good experience but this complaint has more to do with staff than Dr. Tien. Never got a courtesy call about his appoint but, when I called the day of to confirm.. I was told it was a different time than on the appoint card, so I had never been made aware of the change. Upon arriving.. be prepared to wait a while. My son and I waited 1 hour before they saw him.

I've been seeing Dr. Tien since 2008 for a series of necessary eye operations; he truly is an
amazingly skilled ophthalmologist/surgeon and someone I really trust. He is extremely detailed
in his analysis and measurements prior to any planned surgery to help develop his surgical plan.
I always ask many questions and he will always provide detailed (yet easy-to-understand)
answers without rushing. Very easy to talk to and always provides good level-headed advice
and options. My own surgical results were great and really made such a difference in day-to-
day living. I think we're very fortunate to have him practicing in Rhode Island. Office staff and
his technician team are excellent as well and friendly/helpful. Highly recommend Dr. Tien and
his team!
