Eye Care One

I had such a pleasant experience at Aiken Eye Care One. Within just a couple of minutes of sitting down in the waiting room I was taken back with the tech. Once the tech was done it was only a couple of minutes until the doctor came in. I have never met such nice people in my life and the office was full of them. From the front desk staff to the tech, the kindest doctor I've ever met, and the lady who helped me with my glasses, everyone was super helpful and friendly. I have never had such a good experience in any medical establishment.

The only reason this office is getting one star is because the doctor who performed the exam was good. The exam itself was thorough and they offer digital retina imaging, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, everything else about the experience was extremely disappointing. At our January 20, 2026 appointment, we were left standing and unacknowledged for about 30 minutes. No one checked in with us. We ultimately had to request the eye prescription ourselves so we could leave. We were also given a hard time for wanting to use existing frames and felt significant pressure to purchase frames in the store, which are very expensive. On February 10, 2026, we learned that our frames had been sent to the wrong lab, returned to the store, and then finally sent to the correct lab two weeks after the original appointment. Three weeks later, we still do not have the glasses. We were initially told they were on back order, which was not true. It became clear that no one had taken the time to understand what had actually happened. At no point did anyone offer an apology for the delays, the mistake, or the misinformation. The doctors may be competent, but communication, accountability, and customer service throughout this process have been nonexistent. We will not be returning.

I'll be honest. The only reason I chose this location is because my job changed our vision insurance so my regular eye doc was no longer covered; and this location was the only 1 that had available appointments for this year. I was reluctant because of the outside appearance. But this is why they say to not judge a book by its cover. I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped inside. It's very clean and organized. Entire staff was courteous and helpful. Dr. Aria is 1 of the best Optometrists I've seen. And I've been wearing glasses for 40 years. She's nice, patient, and engaging. In a world where it seems most doctors only care about $$, she's one of the few left that make you feel like she actually CARES about her patients. I've found my new eye doc. No need to look any further. Highly recommend.

I absolutely love this office! Everyone is so kind and professional, and they always make me feel taken care of. The doctor is very knowledgeable and patient, and you can tell they really care about their patients' vision and comfort. The staff is super helpful with scheduling and making sure everything goes smoothly. My appointments are always quick, easy, and pleasant. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my eye care!

I love this office! The doctor is so kind and takes time to explain everything, and the staff is always welcoming and professional. They make you feel comfortable the whole visit and really care about their patients. I always leave feeling well taken care of -- highly recommend!

The staff at Eye Care One are fantastic! They are very friendly and the appointment wait times are always short. They have a good selection of frames to choose from, which is a nice bonus. While the optometrist seems to change pretty often, the core office staff is very consistent and always provides great service, which makes a big difference.

Awesome team, Great management!(manger Faijah), Dr.Nelson was very thorough with eye exam and the whole team was very attentive. Definitely recommend this place for taking care of your eye health!
