I went to this Dr. for a second opinion. I had been going to a national chain for my exam because i liked the doctor, but bought my glasses elsewhere. This time, I had glasses made and could not see with them. I went back to the national chain and they refused to allow me to be re-examined, and claimed that the glasses were made wrong. (they were not). According to the Chain, my astigmatism had changed 2 diopters in 12 months. this doesn't happen unless there is a medical issue., so I was pretty upset. Since they refused to admit they could have made a mistake, I opted to get a second opinion from Dr. Desautels and am glad I did. He is fantastic. He listened to me, then gave me a very thorough exam, including photos or my retinas. He assured me my eyes were healthy and my astigmatism has not changed. He wrote my prescription and it is no where near what the Chain had written. I will continue to go to this wonderful clinic.

Took my 7 year old daughter there and it was a great experience. School said she absolutely needed glasses but the provider here said her eyes were close to 20/20 so well worth the visit. He was very nice and exam was through. Plus the convenience of being located inside Costco and they took my vision insurance. Definitely recommend and I will come here myself when I need my next exam.

The doctor is very nice and knowledgeable but the assistant did not tell my that they did not accept my insurance. She gave me the out of network form after the service had been performed, which only reimburses $35 of a $150 exam. Edit: 11/30/18 I was able to connect with the doctor about my issue and he resolved it. I am changing the review to reflect this. Dr. Desautels is a good physician and I appreciate that he took the time to make it right.

I had a great experience here. I was accepted as a walk in and was told that it would be a short wait, so I got to look around at all the cool stuff in the new Costco! My eyeglasses exam went smoothly and I got everything I needed. They have a friendly staff, too! Will be referring friends and family.

Very pleasant optometrist and staff. Competent and not pushy. My husband and I haven't had our eyes checked in over ten years. Decided to have our eye health checked and will continue as per the doctor's recommendation. At 60 yrs of age our eyesight is very important to us and we certainly don't want to jeopardize it. Affordable prices here, since we don't have eye care insurance, that was a factor. Thank you to Dr. Desautel's care.

The doctor and his staff were polite, professional and incredibly helpful with my questions regarding insurance. The examination was thorough, and the doctor answered all of my questions quickly and in terms I could understand. There is no doubt I'll be returning and I will recommend him to my friends and co-workers.

Very big fan of this Dr. I've been to many other Dr s and with fancier offices, and I am thankful to have found this one. He has great service and very reasonable prices. And you easily get your prescription to use with any vendor you choose. A bit of a tip, you can setup a tire rotation appt and eye appt at the same time, since it's Costco.

They made me feel I had to get my eyes dilated. It wasn't until I was on the phone asking my husband about it, did they say it was "optional." Very crowded waiting room. The optometrist made it sound like she couldn't get a good reading on my eyes without the dilation. It was a very quick exam. I feel it was not thorough enough, as my prescription didn't change much, and I know my eyes have worsened. I won't be returning to this Eye Center.
