Dr. Dorothy Park and Associates

Dr.Park and her office staff ROCK! My husband and I walked in the office and were greeted by the nicest receptionist. Almost immediately we were taken back to the exam area by a very nice young man who began gathering information from us. I was impressed with his professionalism. Dr. Park then entered our room and I felt as if I'd known her forever. She is not only extremely knowledgeable in her field but made us feel very welcomed to her practice. We love her! She talked to me about my condition and treated it immediately. We had the BEST experience ever. If you need the expertise of a knowledgeable eye professional then make an appointment with Dr. Park. You, too can experience this wonderful doctor and her staff. They are so friendly and compassionate. Their glasses frames are reasonable and look great, too.

I've been coming to Dr. Park for over 10 years. I've been seeing eye doctors since I was 5. Of the (at least a dozen) eye doctors I've had since I was a child that either retired or I moved away from, Dr. Park is most certainly among the top 3. She is competent, professional, and very attentive to my personal needs. I'm fortunate to benefit from her care.

Dr. Parks is a rare find--the kind of doctor you wish could be your primary for everything. She took her time with my examination, explaining the pros and cons of my vision options with so much patience. Their technology is top-notch, offering new options for everything from dry eyes and Horner's syndrome to the amazing new VIZZ drops that let you stop wearing glasses! The atmosphere is very private, and the nice music playing really helps with anxiety. Dr. Dorothy Park and her entire office staff were great at their jobs. From the first interaction until the last - all were pleasant, informative, caring and humorous. I appreciate all of those characteristics in a business. It made the experience feel personal and genuine. Also, the music was just great. It's always nice to leave an appt and feel good about the total experience. I had that experience with this office.

I lived in Coventry Connecticut. While there I experienced dry, itchy, & burning eyes. Was also told I have extremely high pressure in both eyes. The Dr did nothing to help me. No medicine, no drops. I continued to suffer. When I came back to SC i went to another eye dr in Lexington & it was the same results. I was talking to my friend Ashley how bad my eyes felt. She asked none of those drs they didn't treat ur eyes. I said nope. She said that's it ur going to see Dottie. I said who? She begin to tell me all bout Dottie. Her step mother who is Dr Dorothy Park. I never knew, never come up before. I trusted Ashley to the fullest so I made an appt. When I finally got there & met Dottie telling her Ashley sent me & why she begin to examine my eyes. She asked the same questions, she was concerned & confused why I never got any treatment /drops etc.... She saw the dry eyes & the high pressure on both & immediately put drops in. I finally felt some relief. She sent me home with two eye drops. I put 1 drop of each in my eyes 5 mins apart before I go to bed at night. My eyes don't hurt anymore & I can finally wear my contacts without them drying out so bad i can't get them out. This has been well over 10 years ago. I even started making my daughters eye appts with her. We no longer see anyone else. She knows what she is doing & she will take great care of ur eyes. Absolutely the best around!!! What I appreciate about Dr. Parks is she educates me during my exam. As she is looking in my eyes she is explaining what she is looking for and gives immediate feedback on the health of my eyes not just my vision. When you visit her office they are typically right on time, however the times I did wait was because she was spending an extra few minutes needed to educate and comfort her patients that are having eye issues, or the times she squeezes emergencies into her busy schedule. She cares not only about you and your vision but the health of you and your eyes. Call Dr. Parks today for a thoughtful caring experience, as everyone from the first phone call, to the greeter, to the check out and everyone in between are full of love and care for you.

I'd like to take a moment to share my experience with this medical practice and this doctor. At the end of 2024, I scheduled my daughter's first eye exam (she was almost 6 years old at the time). The appointment took place in February 2025. The first red flag was that, once we arrived, the front desk informed us that they no longer accepted our insurance. I clearly remembered being told the opposite when I booked the appointment. Had I been unemployed or had plenty of free time, I honestly would have left, but after waiting months for this visit, I stayed. The afternoon was extremely difficult. The doctor does not seem to value patients' time, which is a serious issue in any profession. My daughter was getting tired and hungry, and the doctor still hadn't arrived. Meanwhile, her assistant came in, asked the usual questions, tried to be funny (without much success), and we kept waiting. The doctor finally showed up after about an hour and fifteen minutes. After the exam, she told us to get glasses and seemed visibly bothered--though she tried to hide it--when I said we would get them somewhere that accepted our insurance. The following year, we returned for the annual check-up, and unfortunately the experience was even more disappointing. I wanted to give the doctor a fair chance, especially because she had written that we needed to strengthen my daughter's left eye by using glasses while reading and writing. The same assistant came in with her usual childish and heavy sense of humor, which even my 7-year-old didn't appreciate. And again, the doctor didn't show up. After an hour and a half of waiting, she finally arrived. She examined my daughter and told me something completely different--and incompatible--with what she had written the previous year. Not only had the left eye not improved, but it had actually worsened. She then began asking my daughter repeatedly: "Did you really use only one pair of glasses all year? How is that possible?" I explained that we are clean, organized, and careful people, furthermore also the optical shop had strongly advised us not to buy two pairs, since one was more than enough and they could repair them quickly if needed. The doctor noticed I was irritated--both by the long delay and by her questioning my daughter in that way. She told my daughter to go read some children's books in the office, but I called her back because we had already been there for over two hours and I was exhausted by the environment and the attitude. When I asked to pay, the doctor told her assistant, "Go ahead and charge her, mom has an agenda." I didn't respond; I'm not the type to create scenes, especially in a medical office. When they asked to schedule the next annual visit, I answered honestly: "No, I will find another doctor. The style of this practice is really not for us." I'm sharing my experience in detail to help others avoid a frustrating and unprofessional situation.

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Park and her staff. Everyone is super kind and helpful. Dr Park will always take her time to make sure all your needs are met and you have the best solution for your eyes.
