Dr. Van Veen is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, along with the rest of his staff. He's never rushed through my exams, he's always extremely in-depth and always goes beyond the basics in the exams. Their prices with our insurance is excellent. I couldn't recommend this place more! I've been to multiple eye doctors in Easley and this is by far the best yet.

Me and my son absolutely LOVE it here! The doctor was very patient, informative and interactive with my son. I feel we made a good choice coming here and will continue for many years to come.

I took two of my kids for their first full eye exam. We had a great experience! Everyone in the office was very nice and helpful. The doctor was the best! He took his time with each one and seemed genuinely happy that we were there. I would recommend this office to anyone.

HORRIBLE PLACE DONT WASTE YOUT TIME!!!!! My husband had an appointment at 2:30 he got there at 2:00pm. At 3:10 he asks what's going on ? Informing them that his appointment was at 2:30 & that's why he made an appointment. Some smart mouth woman who worked in an office felt the need to come out & said well if he wants to be seen he will wait, we are running behind. It's not like this appointment was a free visit. We are paying customers Mean while someone walked in with NO APPOINTMENT & was seen before my husband who had an appointment!!! Don't go to this place. Complete waste of time. I'll spend my money some where that has some respect for their patients and knows how to conduct there selves in a respectful manner!

Great experience and am very happy with service received! I was seen urgently for an episode of vitreous detachment-- the exam was thorough and Dr VanVeen very reassuring. Also was evaluated for new glasses and am very pleased with my new eyewear! Highly recommend this practice.

I have used Optical Express for the last few years, with no issues. I was happy with my services and my glasses. My insurance changed since my annual visit in 2018 and so MY cost for my glasses, including the same additions, increased to 3 times what I paid last year. Because of the cost, I called the office 2 days after my exam and asked if the transition lens could be cancelled to save on cost, and I would use my "old" glasses as sunglasses when needed. I was told that it could be cancelled and I thanked them for taking care of it. So 3 weeks after my exam appointment date I go to pick up my glasses, of which I was happy with. Upon leaving, I asked if the money for the transition lens could be credited back to my flex account. The lady, who had been very helpful and friendly during my visit, had to ask the owner's daughter if they could do that. Her response was no, they couldn't.. I expressed that I wasn't ok paying for something that I wasn't getting. The purpose to cancel a service was to save that money, and I'm being told that my lens had already been made 2 days after my exam when I had called to cancel. If that's the case I'm not sure what took an additional 2+ weeks to finish my glasses.. I told them they could've told me that I couldn't get that credit and I would've been fine keeping the order that included the transition lens. Her response to that was "Just give it to her", as she threw her hand up and then turned her back to me. The amount that was credited was $70. I don't honestly think that was as much as the amount originally quoted to me but I was just frustrated and ready to leave. That $70 credit that I suppose the office will have to write-off, has cost them years of my business. I don't feel that my request was unrealistic or unfair. If customers are valued, they should be treated as such. I can take my business elsewhere.

Went there today and had my exam and ordered my glasses I had a great experience the staff was very kind to me which is appreciated I would highly recommend them. They will be who I go to from now on. Thank you to all the staff for your kindness.
