At first it was great. Dr. Blotnick and Dr. Peterson are excellent. However, they are specialty doctors . My recent eye exams have been pretty below par especially considering I have had retina surgery with one of their retina specialist. However, he is no longer with Metrolina Eye. After my most recent experiences, I can see why. I had new lenses made for my glasses and they said they called to let me know they were in but no one left a message so I had no clue who called. After 3 1/2 weeks I finally called them and they had them there. I was trying to find the best time to pick them up and there were no times posted on their website or on their phone line as to lunch times for the office staff and no one was answering the phones! I inquired about why they don't do this for their patients and the girls at the front desk said many people have complained but the management/owner doesn't do anything about it. So, today, I said to myself, "what the heck." I'm done here! I'm going somewhere else! Good luck folks!!!!

I had cataract surgery with another facility and needed a second opinion as to why I wasn't seeing as well as expected. Dr Mac did a thorough exam and explained what his findings were. He took his time and was very patient with me. I was very impressed with his office and the staff. If I need any other eye care I will use his office in the future.

I've given this practice 6 opportunities to show me "how very important my call is to them." Held a minimum of 30 minutes each time. Wouldn't dare press 0 for a call back, because that never happens! As a macular degeneration patient, I need a practice that at least does a decent job pretending they are concerned. Even gave them ample opportunities after their Retinologist was blatantly rude and walked out of my appointment with him, not once but twice to help another patient "who couldn't wait." That was after waiting over 20 minutes past my appt. time in the waiting and another 45 in the exam room. I'm past DONE with this practice and couldn't in good conscience recommend it to anyone.

4 stars instead of 5 because of the amount of time the yearly checkup appointment took. Scheduled for 10:10. Assistant took me back almost right away. Didn't see the doctor until 11:05. Dialated my eyes at 11:20. Care was fine.

Doctor Mac and staff were so patient with me, explaining the reason for every test and provided me with knowledgeable information as to why, when and how I can take care of my AMD. Prescription was explained in novice terms I could understand. When asked if I had any questions the answer was no because every thing was explained to me already.

Absolutely horrible experience. After many attempts to call and get an appointment. No answer and when you leave a message no return call. Finally got it. Needed a prescription. Had issues at the pharmacy. Called the office to get resolved. No answer at 4:50 when hours are till 5pm. Never going back.
