I had the most enjoyable experience today at the Lexington SC Location. The staff took the time to find out I did have a vision plan that I had never used... It saved me a lot of money! My "glasses"specialist, Victoria, was Amazing!!! She took up a lot of time with me and was honest about my choices! I purchased 2 pair that was 1/2 the cost of 1 pair I had purchased elsewhere! Can't wait to pick them up!!! THANKS y'all!

So I made an appointment at end of day, and did not feel rushed. Angie Is the best and I really enjoyedI our conversation together! Madi, the tech, is knowledgeable and sweet. The store manager, Victoria, is very patient and fashionable! American's Best in Lexington on is Sunset Blvd is a great atmosphere, it's clean and Dr.Serrano is an AWESOME MANNER with a GREAT SMILE; check them out, you won't disappointed! Thank you for not rushing me out!!

Angie was amazing and really took the time to help break down what my insurance covered and costs, and she showed a lot of care and expertise at her job. We are getting me set up with some new glasses and contacts and I feel great about everything. Thank you to Angie and Dr S - he was awesome too!

Quick Summary - Overall experience was below satisfactory, customer service was great in the beginning and took a sharp decline after my money was spent. Buyer's beware! Detailed Summary: I visited this location (5135 Sunset Blvd, Lexington, SC) on March 10, 2025, for an eye exam and to purchase glasses. The exam process was smooth, and Victoria (possibly the manager) was fantastic--super kind, helpful, and made frame selection easy. I spent $275 on two pairs and was advised to have them shipped to the store for a proper fitting. Big mistake. My receipt stated they'd be ready by March 20, but it's now nearly April, and I still don't have them. I've called multiple times (3/21, 3/25, 3/27) and kept getting the same response: "We have a lot of boxes to unload; we'll call, text, and email when your order arrives." None of that ever happened. No follow-up, no accountability whatsoever. It's unacceptable that I had to chase down my order, especially for something as essential as prescription glasses. Terrible communication and unreliable service. Avoid this location if you need your glasses on time!

Customer service over the phone perfect! Kind, attentive, and informative! Atmosphere Clean, friendly, open spacious. Staff on site professional, timely and courteous! The customer service over the phone is why I chose to bring my son to this location. He is 16 and would like to have contacts. It is a process. An appointment with the doctor (great having an actual professional!). Then an eye professional helped coach my son on how to insert the contact. Which the gentleman was amazing because it took several tries, and several demonstrations on how to place the contact and removal. Lastly, my son went home with a trail pair. By the third day he dropped his right eye contact in the sink drain. I called America best in Lexington and they were kind enough to have another contact waiting for pick up. A week later he ripped a contact, the right side ! What kind of luck is this? He won't be able to see the doctor until the January schedule opens and they were kind enough to offer a quicker appointment at another location but customer service matters to me and we will wait it out. But we are going on a Christmas vacation and he would not be able to see. I called again to see if they could give us a spare for the right eye. And yes as usual they were kind, understanding and professional over the phone and have a spare set ready for him to pick up! He will definitely wait until Christmas to put them on! Thank you, Misty

Ive always recommended America's Best since I found them in Florida in 2020. But now I'm 100000000% a lifetime customer. I have a wider face so finding feminine glasses can be tough and after trying 6 or 7 frames I usually give up and just gravitate to the men's glasses. Not today. The manager of the location (my memory is horrible so I wanna say Victoria????) Saw me struggling and came over. She asked if I was doing okay. I tried to keep my vouce calm as I was about to give up and softly said "no..." I fought tears because even as a plus sized 6 foot tall woman ive always just shopped in men's to make it easier to find clothes and not get upset when I cant find something and I'm tired of it. Well she didn't let me search alone after that little "no". She handed me frames after frames. Asking what i liked and didn't. Helped me find a style that didnt interfere with my ballcap. Then we worked on color. We ended up with 4 maybes. 4 became 2 when we sat down to decide. Then 2 became 1. I got 2 of the same frames. One is dailies and one is sunglasses. Estimated to be in on the 30th and thats a day before my birthday so I'm even more happy. I fought tears again as I was getting ready to leave. Happy with my glasses. Happy with my experience. Happy she was there when I was fighting to give up looking for what I truly wanted. Thank you. I will be back and will tell everyone about this location.

Disappointed with my experience. After standing around for about 15+ mins without being helped, I was asked to sign a form for the use of a Remote doctor (I was even able to go through the entire store to select a glasses frame I liked while waiting). My wife and and 6 year old son came along as we intended to be in/out within the hour. After getting checked in we waited in the waiting area for minutes under an hour, and learned that was just for the basic health screen. It was roughly another 45 mins before I was called to the exam room. I was relieved thinking the wait was going to come to a end. At this point the assistant screened my eyes and sent the video to prompt the remote doctors I was ready. I kid you not, I waited for another 30 mins.. The assistant said they dont know why no one connected for the virtual consultation and asked if I want to reschedule. (WHAT) A manager didnt try to talk to me, that was the end of the road after a nearly 3 hr wait. My two cents- if they make you sign that form for the remote doctor, try elsewhere.

My experience here was great! They listened to what I had to say, and they made me feel welcome. Also, they were very knowledgeable about my vision. Thank you again!
