Carolina Eyecare Physicians: Jeff Lynn, O.D.

I'm writing this review for my wife who was the patient of Dr Lynn. My wife was scheduled to see him at 2:00pm. But before we got there, I was getting bad stomach cramping from having had a hernia operation two weeks ago and she got me a protein shake which helped my cramping. As a result, she was five minutes late and had to use the bathroom even though the office manager herself said a 15 to 20 minute grace period is given. So when my wife got out of the bathroom, Dr Lynn didn't introduce himself but was already disparaging my wife because of the time getting started and gave her attitude about that. My wife has anxiety about getting her eyes touched, so she expressed that and he sarcastically said without compassion, "Well how do you expect me to check your pressure?" He continued to answer every question and/or concern with sarcasm, rudeness, abruptness and was downputting at every turn. From the time my wife came out of the bathroom, he said in a demeaning way, "take your purse over and go sit down". His tone was very aggressive the entire time she was there which was long enough to check her eyes, but after his constant bad attitude and rude and demeaning behavior, he talked about dilating my wife's eyes and she had asked a couple of things regarding that and then Dr Lynn said sarcastically, "If we are going to do an eye test, let's do an eye test!" which then he said, "Maybe you need to find another provider". My wife then said, "Yes, I think that we do. I fact you've been rude to me the entire time and your bedside manner is horrible!" She almost ended the appointment as soon as it started because of his treatment of her but went as far getting the pressure test done. She then walked out of the office as he called out to her that she would not be charged for the appointment. My wife said "We will be sure to submit reviews for you!" and Dr Lynn said, "And I will be sure to mention your punctuality!" He then said sarcastically, "You have a good day!" And my wife said back, "And you have a GREAT day!" My wife then came out to the car where my son and I were waiting and the office manager chased her to the car and had my wife tell her what happened. The office manager then apologized profusely and told us that other patients have had the same experience and feedback about Dr Lynn. She told us that she would be escalating the issue and kept apologizing over and over. Moral of the story is that Dr Lynn doesn't have any business working with patients because he's THE most unprofessional doctor I've ever heard of and doesn't have any business working with people. So if you are looking for an eye doctor, stay away from this doctor unless you too want to be treated terribly! And NOBODY disrespects my wife!!

Dr Lynn is very thorough and polite. Exam by him was great. The only disappointment was my wife and I both had eye exams and they scheduled us one hour apart instead of back to back.

Jeff Lynn was very professional. I feel like I had an excellent eye exam. He explains everything so you know what he is doing and recommending. I was not happy with the Assistance , I did not receive in picking out my frames for my glasses. I will not be buying my glasses there.

3 of us have been patients at Carolina Eye Care for at least 15 years! Dr. Lynn is always very helpful when discussing current eye health and what he is following over time. As of July 3, 2025, our ages are 58, 56, and 18. Excellent patient experience.

This is my 2nd year going for my annual exam with Dr.Lynn and I'm always super impressed. I have been wearing glasses/contacts for 35 years and have seen many ophthalmologists. Dr.Lynn gives me so much background and info on what I can expect down the road with my vision. I highly recommend him.

Both of the Doctors we previously saw left this practice, so they put us with Dr. Lynn which was not a problem. Dr. Lynn seemed knowledgeable, but it was hard to tell because his bedside manner was not very good. He did not seem to be an active listener, or a listener in general. He would not let us finish questions without speaking so it was frustrating. So, yes, he was knowledgeable but did not take time to listen enough to actually answer our very specific concerns. After that experience, it made us both wonder why the other two Doctors left. Neither of us will go back to Carolina Eye Care.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Lynn for a new patient exam. He was very thorough with my exam and took his time answering all my questions. The front office was very helpful setting up my insurance and ordering new frames. I highly recommend this office.

Dr. Lynn is great. His demeanor is calm and helps put the patient at ease. He explains things well and does a very thorough job during exams. I highly recommend him.
