Dr. Ledford is wonderful. He does not rush from patient to patient so you feel very valued. He is also very funny. His staff are great too. They are not at all pushy with sales so the whole office feels very comfortable.

Dr. Ledford is great! Although I was told by the woman at front desk that I could not place an order for my contact lenses after exam. Due to this, I was not able to use my insurance coverage towards purchasing contact lenses. She said they had a new "open box" contact lense policy and cannot do refunds so, because I had a new prescription, they would not order them for me during my visit. The new prescription is the purpose of eye exam and ordering new lenses? I have never asked for a refund or tried to return my contact lenses. I asked Dr. Ledford for a sample pair because I am out of contacts and now this one sample pair is all I have until I can order new contact lenses elsewhere.

What a great first impression! I booked an appointment online and requested one of two specific days (days off during the week are rare!) and I was contacted both by phone and email the following day. About a week later, I received a text to fill out a patient intake form to save time doing so in the office. I showed up about fifteen minutes early for my appointment and was taken back just a few minutes later for preliminary eye tests. Britany C. (there are 3 Britanys!) was super efficient and extremely knowledgeable. I was impressed by the testing done by the VR headset...that was a first! Dr. Ledford came in shortly after and was very personable. He even walked me up front himself (I'm in dentistry and we walk the patients out 99% of the time) and the check-out process was seamless. I told my husband as soon as I got home that he needs to make himself an appointment. 5 stars!

I had my eyes examined and purchased new glasses in late December 2024 (exam on 17th - picked up glasses after Christmas. The exam was great, Dr. Ledford is a good guy and an excellent optometrist. Unfortunately his front end staff is not so good. My almost $300 frames cracked at the hinge because the hinge on the frames I chose (PUMA brand) was a plastic hinge. I returned the glasses in early April (had them just over 3 months) to have them repaired and I had to pay a $25 fee for a warranty repair. The new frames lasted just over a month and the plastic hinge again began to move in the frame and the left arm of the glasses. I returned them again and was told that I would need to be fitted for a different design of glasses and that I would have to pay a $25 warranty fee for the frames and an additional $25 fee for new lenses. I didn't think this was right and spoke with the office manager. She told me that they were doing me a favor because the warranty only covered one repair and I had already used that repair to fix the glasses the first time. She said that if I didn't pay the $50 then the only remaining choice was to pick up my glasses. I paid almost $300 for a pair of glasses that broke twice in less than 5 months and Inlet Eye Associates was willing to do nothing about it except keep charging me more for repairs or replacement. Other eyewear retailers have warranties that are much more customer friendly than this. I would recommend Dr. Ledford for an eye exam but I would never recommend anyone to purchase eyewear from this business. Their warranty policies are not in the best interest of the customer. I realize Inlet Eye Associates doesn't make the frames but when a customer has frequent problems someone should go to bat for the customer with the manufacturer or the distributor of the frames. Additionally, when I picked up my glasses (my only option unless I wanted to spend more $$) the lenses were covered in fingerprints from the office staff looking at them. This is an eyewear business and they didn't even have the courtesy of cleaning the lenses after they looked at the glasses. The true quality of a business isn't measured by what they do when things go right, it's measured by how a business reacts when things don't go so right.

I've had contacts stuck in my eye and Dr. Ledford has always greeted me with a huge smile and successfully removed it!

Yesterday I called to make an appointment for my nephew. Not only did they immediately book him an appointment, but they were able to get him in the same day. Dr. Ledford was not only knowledgeable but caring to our needs. I would highly recommend this business for your eye care needs and I will be switching myself to here as well.

I cannot even begin to express how grateful I and my family are for Dr. Ledford. He helped us through one of the scariest times in our lives. My granddaughter came home one day after school and said she could only see a black out of one of her eyes. He took her in immediately. His staff was awesome. Everyone acted in a matter as not to alarm my granddaughter, which I really appreciate. Dr. Ledford did the exam, and he explained to me in very easy to understand terms as to what he found. He said he was going to try to get her in for an MRI as soon as he possibly could .He even reached out to some colleagues in Charleston. He ended up telling us to take her to the children 's emergency room at the Children's Hospital in Charleston. The neurologist said he did exactly what needed to be done as far as getting my granddaughter in to get an MRI as soon as possible. My granddaughter had a 6-day stay at the The children's hospital In Charleston receiving steroid infusions. She is much better now. Even still if we have any concerns at all, Dr. Ledford always stops what he's doing and takes the time to address our concerns. We couldn't ask for a more compassionate concerning doctor for my granddaughter.

Feels like family! The staff is excellent, friendly, and goes over and above to accommodate their patients! Dr. Ledford is exceptional! He truly cares about his patients and will suggest a care plan that's best for you. (Cataract surgery, LASIK, or even if it's best for you to just stay in eyeglasses).You will never feel rushed through your appointment. I'm so grateful that we found Dr. Ledford!
