For a local and positive environment Foothills Family optical is exceptional. I attended an appointment while having my daughter with me and staff entertained her kept her safe while I had a quick exam done. The exam was quick and precise leaving me impressed with the results. Definitely would recommend over any options in the Pickens area.

Great local option for getting frames and same day lenses. Very friendly and accommodating. Both my kids and I have glasses from Foothills and they great. I absolutely recommend them as a spot to get your next set of glasses.

This is the best optical store in the upstate! I've experienced their services multiple times for new glasses, prescription sunglasses and repairs after running over my glasses. My frames broke, and I went here to have my Lens's switched out to another similar frame. I was informed that there was only one imagine 1 frame in entire store that would fit my lenses. Of course I didn't like The frames. They look like the dollar store type all clear plastic. Totally different than my rose Color metal frames. But I need glasses and I didn't have $700 to have another exam performed as that's what I paid before with another ophthalmologist. As I'm sure most of you understand that when you need to wear your glasses all the time except to sleep and you're given only one choice, obviously I agreed to switch them out. He had switched them out in the office. He took them to a machine to make some adjustments because they were too big. At first, I thought they were dirty. And I cleaned them several different times with different cloth and lens cleaners. Nothing seem to take away this white type of fog or something that blocked me from seeing. Of course you need glasses to see the issues with the glasses! it's a double edge sword PS: unfortunately frames are still big. Well anyway I was grateful to have my glasses back and I paid what he asked $100+ taxes (for what I feel look like a dollar store frame.) maybe he showed me the worst awful frames hoping I would say yes to getting an eye exam? I don't know when you feel like you got ripped off things go through your head ..you know what I mean?But again I needed my eyeglasses! A friend of mine asked what the problem was. I asked her to look at them and she asked me what the heck happened? I told her and she has the same conclusion. Making them totally useless as I cannot see wearing them. Both lenses have these deep scratches and they're in the center of the eyeglasses making them useless. I've have tried. So many different things. I'm more than a little upset considering what I had already paid money for my glasses the first time around with another ophthalmologist who did suggest these upgrades as I need to wear them all the time and I have eye sensitivity to light their sunglasses transitions, scratch proof, Blu-ray computer screen protector..etc. So to leave an eye-store and have my lenses ..now ..totally useless makes it seem as though I were set up. How can you tell me you have no other frames? Listen, regardless of the frames ..how do I leave the store ..with useless $700 eyeglasses when I only came in to have my frame replaced? I am at a loss. While speaking of the dollar store, I had to go back there and purchase cheap reading glasses, by the way frames are nicer, just so I can read stuff and get by. But not being able to wear my eyeglasses all day specially, driving, as I had prior to the frame breaking, and even after they broke, I managed to glue the frame for a while it was working until it wasn't. Regardless there was nothing wrong with the lenses. It was only the frame. Going here has rendered my eyeglasses useless, as I cannot see past gouge is on the lenses. I was going to go back and to file a big Complete with him. But I remembered how he reiterated A few times How I could just schedule another exam -unfortunately, that would be A cost to you anywhere from $400-$600 cost. If you want the same fancy upgrades as you have now. I can do an eye exam cheaper without all those upgrades if you want? People I understand I'm upset and I might be reading too much into this. But after showing my cousin -even he saying -wow -they weren't like this before what happened? I told him I exactly what I wrote here today. Actually, I'm out more than just 100+ dollars I paid to him. I'm actually out the entire cost of the glasses because they are totally, total useless. I hope to hear from the owner and he can rectify this situation that I am in otherwise I have no eyeglasses as they are rendered useless. And I'm out 100+ dollars hopefully he reaches out to me and we can come to some type of fair solution.
