Accuvision Eye Care OD, PA

We must have come on the day all the good staff were off! The receptionist spent over 30 minutes on the phone gossiping with a friend about the business and her coworkers. So uncomfortable. There seemed to be only one doctor working, and we could hear the conversation she was having. It was NOT about vision! It was like she and the patient were talking about their weekend plans. We waited over an hour while they were in there carrying on. The next patient, scheduled a WHOLE HOUR after us, came in before we were seen. This place seems to have good reviews, but we must've come on an off day. Never again!

Stay away from this business! I spent over $300 for glasses, and the distance vision is blurry. Went back to the store, and reviewed my new prescription versus an older one I had, and they do not look all that different. That said, I still have a pair of glasses from the older one that still work well enough, so I felt that the lens maker just made an error when crafting the lenses, and that the order should just be resubmitted and redone. But not at this store; no, the level of discussion lowered to me possibly having an illness that might be affecting my eyes, or that maybe I really don't like the frames. And then I was told that another set of lenses will take 12 weeks to make, and that my order would need to be re-run through my insurance company. And on it went. Then I was asked to come back for another eye exam in a week or, so. At that point I'd had enough, so I walked out. I didn't think that getting my new glasses corrected would become an accusation filled marathon. One can only take so much. All I wanted was a good product for the money I spent. So, I scheduled a second opinion eye exam at different place for later today, and if there is no issue with the prescription, I'll likely just go to LensDirect to replace the problematic ones I just bought. What a waste of $325! A pair of $100 frames for $300--Wow, what a deal! Such an impersonal business, where all are regarded with suspicion. Do not go there!!! This is the Walmart at 4875 Old York Rd. Rock Hill SC (Newport). Take your business elsewhere.....

My daughter has been very hesitant about going to the eye doctor. The staff and doctor at this location put all of her fears to ease. They are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I am extremely pleased with our experience!
