I picked up my new glasses June 13, 2025 and I'm extremely disappointed because I can't see out of them. I was not able to drive home with them on after I picked them up due the blurry vision. Discussed this with the staff before leaving. The vision through the lenses is blurry, as if the prescription was incorrect. I tried the glasses for several weeks, but the blurriness did not improve. On August 14th I returned to the vision center and explained that the prescription is still blurry and that I could see much better without the glasses on. I left the glasses at the Vision Center after i felt uncomfortable with the staff member telling me how "vision science works" and the prescription was correct!
On the day I picked up my glasses another person was complaining she could not see out of her glasses!
The other reviews here must be fake. This office refused my wife and 3 children when my wife called about a replacement pair of glasses for my daughter who lost her glasses in the creek. The wouldn't give her my daughters prescription claiming it had expired 20 days prior. They booted them all out of their system claiming my wife was aggressive on the phone. You who scribbled all over the prescription before finally sending it, the same person who deleted my family, you are spineless, and worthless. Thank you. We will find someone else to take our money for 4 of my family members glasses needs. It is funny, that since this situation that brought me into these conversations, many people have told me about you terrible ways.
I've been going to this office for years. I occasionally hurt my eye when I get something in there like a little piece of steel. This guy has saved me on more times that I care to remember. He even yelled at me one time when he said I wasn't using the drops. Got very mad at me that's when I realized this guy actually cares about his patients. I will continue to go to him as long as I still need glasses and that's going to be a long time
Excellent all around!! The staff was friendly and seemed like they actually cared in my eye health, not just my money. The eye doctor ..super! Very friendly, easy to talk to, and very thorough!! I recommend them to anyone who needs a first time eye exam, or looking for a new place to continue their eye care .
Utter hubris.
My son had his eyes examined and we took a printout of his prescription to get glasses made elsewhere. When they were ready and he tried them on for the first time his vision in one eye was improved but it was worse in the other. The optician remarked that it was strange to see a child so young with a monovision prescription (correcting one eye for nearsightedness and the other for farsightedness). I hadn't heard anything about this during my son's exam so I called the Vision Centers to ask if it was possible that the prescription had an error. Something as simple as an inadvertent minus-sign could have been the source (e.g. +1 vs. -1). Although I called several times, I was never permitted to speak with Dr. Bodofsky, only his staff member, who would not address the possibility that the prescription had been typed wrong; she would only verify that the numbers on the printout in my hand matched the numbers recorded in their system (of course they did--that's where the printout came from). Instead she stated that the prescription "could not be wrong" and that the optician "does not know what they are doing." I asked for a second examination, simply to verify whether the prescription was correct. I was told that I could pay out-of-pocket for a second examination or I could buy the glasses that were made, have my son try them for a week, and, if his vision wasn't better, have another examination without charge. Not wanting so subject my son to having worse vision than before during his first week ever of wearing glasses, I declined this offer and took him to a different eye doctor. And what do you know, the prescription that the new doctor came up with was exactly the same as Dr. Bodofsky's with one critical difference: there was minus-sign where, previously, a plus-sign had been.
Because the staff member would not listen to us, nor consider that an error might have been made, and would only offer us options that we considered to be unreasonable, we have made the decision to find another ophthalmologist for our family's vision care.
To be clear: I am not posting this negative review, nor did I leave Dr. Bodofsky's practice because he (or his staff member) made a typographical error. This could happen to anyone. Rather, it's the way in which the error was handled that is the source of my displeasure. If the staff member had simply listened to our concerns and considered the possibility that a typographical error had been made, and then taken the appropriate steps to investigate the possibility of an error, we would likely remain patients at the Vision Centers.
Dr. Bodofsky has now lost three patients due to the utter hubris of his staff member, his proxy in communicating with patients. I hope he makes changes accordingly.
I was amazed at how wonderful my visit went! I was actually a week early, but they fit me in anyway. That was the start of my awesome visit! They took their time with my eye exam, which was great for me. The Vision place I went to a few years ago rushed me, and it wasn't good considering the money you spend buying eyeglasses. I would highly recommend this place, the best experience getting eyeglasses, and they didn't treat me like a number! Thank you all for my excellent visit!
Had a wonderful experience here. Also Office staff are excellent.
Saved the weekend! We left our eye kit at home and were able to walk right in and get a mini plunger to remove gas perm contact! Thank you!!
