BEST EYE DOCTOR IN TOWN! She's friendly, knowledgeable, the cutest pugs in the state, AND she delivered my contacts to me after I was super distracted and kept forgetting to pick them up.
Seeing the eye doctor can be a mundane experience. Dr. Weichler was an exception and made it a great experience from beginning to end. She'll have my regular business for a while!

Pauline is an excellent eye doctor. She is kind, gentle, and unassuming, but do not let that deceive you as she is sharp when it comes to diagnosing and treating eyes. She has cut right to the heart of a problem with both my husband and I several times, and we have been seeing her for about seven years now. I would recommend Eyeworks anytime and to anyone who is wanting to see someone with a wide range of expertise. Pauline has also worked at the Eye Institute and as a result, she has expertise that is helpful with more than the 'regular' eye exam and prescribing of lens strengths. Be ready to be greeted by her little pug dogs at the door; they will make your visit enjoyable.

Ideal Eyes were able to accommodate my last minute emergency eye check up and we're willing to squeeze in an eye exam, as well. Dr. Weichler and her staff were very welcoming and the space is very clean and organized. Pauline was able to identify my astigmatism, which I unknowingly was likely suffering from for years. She was also quick to call and make alternative suggestions when I had issues with a prescription. I would highly recommend Dr. Weichler for any of your eye care needs.

If you are looking for a thorough, kind and patient optometrist, Dr Weichler is the eye doctor you are looking for. Glasses and contacts prices are comparable to others in town. I have NEVER had to wait longer than 10 minutes for my appt. She is low pressure when purchasing glasses/ contacts.
Patricia the receptionist is kind and honerable. I accompanied my husband to his appointment on a Saturday. Patricia answered a phone call which I deduced the caller was requesting an appointment for the same day. Unfortunately, she told them, there were no apt available. She then googled eye doctors in Rapid City that were open on Saturdays and gave the number to the caller. Who goes above and beyond like this anymore? Amazing.

This is my second time visiting this office. They made the time at 9am. I'm there at 8:45. Waiting until someone shows up. Dr Weichler opens the front door at 9am with her three dogs. Now you would think she would show up before her patient and be ready at 9am. Then her assistant rolls in. I go in about 5 after and their scrambling to get ready for the day. Same thing happened last visit. I go in have a chair to wait and 3 dogs are running around the office and coming up to me. I don't appreciate the welcoming and I think it's very unprofessional
I say something for the dogs to leave me alone and they are scrambling to pick them up and close them in a room. Then I see the Doctor carrying a dog out of the exam room. That was it..and I walked out. Very unprofessional medical office.
